Day II of the QPR-Mark Hughes Negotiations.
Liverpool step into the last remaining competition on their calendar, welcoming Oldham Athletic
to Anfield in the third round of the FA Cup. The League One side got past Southend United in the
second round after a draw forced the home replay, which the hosts won 1-0. Liverpool will be
looking to get past the third round for just the third time in six seasons after crashing out to
Reading and Manchester United in the past two seasons.

Enoch Balotelli remember the name, Actually, to be honest, it's not an easily forgettable one,
is it? Well, the 19-year-old Italian has followed his more famous brother over to England in an
attempt to get himself a contract with Stoke City.
Result! This might just be the best news OTP has heard all year. The Premier League is set to
double its Balotelli quota after Stoke handed a trial to Mario's brother Enoch. The 19-year-old
played in the Potters' reserve match at Burton Albion this week after spending three weeks training
with the club.
So why do I know so much about football?
Grew up in Burton-on Trent, England. We played the beautiful game in Burton now the centre of
English Football excellence.
The beautiful game we learnt and played?
You know where you turned up in cars, waited for 2 minutes before the game - ran out, scored late
on.
As the crowd of just over 1,700 filed out of Underhill after a six-three home defeat at the
hands of Burton Albion last weekend, supporters of Barnet Football Club had little option but to
face up to the prospect of another difficult season in League Two again this year. The club is in
second from bottom place in the Football League with only Plymouth Argyle below them, and with
Plymouth now having finally exited administration and Barnet having lost seven of their last eight
matches, a club which has maintained it League Two status by he skin of its teeth for the last
couple of seasons will be looking nervously at the trapdoor which is threatening to open up below
it again.
Having insisted in July that Gillingham's budget should provide enough wherewithal to challenge for
promotion this year, the early signs have been encouraging for chairman Paul Scally. Saturday's 3-1
victory over Burton Albion was comfortably earned and Danny Kedwell, uprooted from AFC Wimbledon
with the promise of a return to his native Kent, scored twice to take his tally for the season to

Yesterday in Plymouth, it nearly all kicked off, or rather it nearly didn't. Lead administrator
Brendan Guilfoyle "all-but-vanished" and somebody paid for acting chairman Peter Ridsdale to jet to
the South of France, while staff at Home Park remained resolutely unpaid. Worse still... somebody
paid for Ridsdale to jet back.
Admittedly I was a bit slow to publish this...so with the added benefit of one performance,
here's the League Two preview!
Who's Looking Good?
Crawley Town: Most bookies favourites, Crawley have the biggest budget in the
league, momentum to die for, and probably the deadliest striker in the division in Matt Tubbs.
So, as promised, here we are. Your lovely Guardian Guide recommended, occasionally hilarious
football blog returns after a period in the wilderness.
You'll be pleased/dismayed that many of our old features will be returning. Our award winning*
comedy series At Home With Barry Davies will run from the beginning, there'll be plenty of Players
Names That Mrs LB Has Misheard During Commentary, the continuation of our 101 Great Goals feature
and an smattering of wildly inaccurate predictions.

Our long national nightmare is over. Bob Bradley has been ousted as coach of the USMNT. And like
Jeff Carlisle says, there's little downside:
World Cup qualifying doesn't start until next year. There is no Confederations Cup to
plan for. And given the USSF's ability to schedule quality friendlies, there would seem to be ample
opportunity for a new coach to get up to speed.
Brace yourselves, everybody, because it's FA Cup fourth-round weekend in England (from here on out
known as the tremendous thirty-two). The FA Cup is the most exciting tournament in the country, and
there's always the chance for huge upsets in every round. We've got our share of big matches:
Everton host Chelsea at Goodison Park in what looks to be the choicest fixture of the round.

Year Flashback: Paul Hart Out at QPR- Ex-QPR Stuart Wardley Still Thriving in Football
- Thirty-Six Years Ago: QPR Knocked Chelsea out of the FA Cup!
As the third round of the FA Cup kicked off yesterday I wondered to myself if it was as special
as it used to be. Many people have said over the last 15 years or so that the FA Cup has lost some
of the magic it once had and I can't really argue with that. When I was younger, this time of year
was as exciting as the final itself, the beginning of what you hope would end with your team at
Wembley in the final game of the season lifting the most famous club cup trophy of them all.
Wolves out on-loan for the season defender Scott Malone secured a Burton Albion win against
Championship team Middlesbrough in the FA-cup. I stopped watching the game on TV when Boro was one
goal up yesterday, but Burton wanted a different result. Harrad scored twice for the League Two
team late in the game.
