Against The Run Of Play 10 September @ 09:57 PM EST
The St Leo women (0-0-1) finally have a result to put in the books tonight. It took 110 minutes, but finally the Lions finished a match after tying Armstrong Atlantic (3-1-1). St Leo had their first game of the year called before it became an official result and then cancelled two matches due to swine flu concerns. Click to continue reading...

Fixture release date plus more on Setanta

FC Boro 20 June @ 01:06 PM EST

The club have confirmed that the fixtures for next season will be released on July 3rd. Not long now until we can really start talking about Boro again and start planning them long trips to Gateshead and Chester City that await us in the coming months. Unlike the fixtures in the football league and Premier League, the fixture list in the BSP gets decided by hand, so holiday fixtures can be evenly distributed and the fixtures meet local policing standards.

Boylan off?

FC Boro 18 May @ 01:10 PM EST

Not much Boro news about at the moment as everyone waits to see who is on the 'out' list at Broadhall Way. I assume the club will announce who won't be retained in the next week or so. It's expected that Callum Willock, Eddie Anaclet and John Martin were 3 of the 4 players that GW said would be released or transferred.

The business end of the business end of the season in the Football League

SoccerLens 28 April @ 02:18 AM EST

There are several ways to win a Championship. You can swashbuckle your way to the top playing good football and conquering all that come before you, nailing the title several weeks before the end of the season. You can push your head above the parapet at just the right time in a tight league.

Win over Kidderminster sets up exciting last day

FC Boro 21 April @ 05:33 PM EST

A big game tonight and another big win for Graham Westley's side. If only we had hit the ground running back in August!

Stevenage have been superb since December. If the season had begun at the beginning of that month, then Boro would be comfortable winners of the Blue Square Premier.

Lopo’s View

FC Boro 14 April @ 06:00 AM EST

After a fantastic 24 match unbeaten run it all came to a dramatic end a couple of weeks ago with defeat at Kidderminster, however bouncing back was key and last Tuesdays impressive 2-1 win against rivals Cambridge certainly showed that despite having injuries, suspensions and a terrible referee we are able to compete at the top end of the table.

It was another encouraging performance at Broadhall Way as Boro comfortably beat the run away leaders of the Blue Square Premier in the 3rd round of the FA Trophy. After being given the hardest draw of the round, Boro passed the test with flying colours and on current form look favourites to regain the trophy [. Click to continue reading...

Nigel Clough - A son of Brian

Soccer Pie 14 January @ 04:00 AM EST
Manager Nigel Clough is the main topic in Championship these days. You have probably heard he is the newly appointed Derby County manager, the club in which his father, the celebrated English manager, Brian Clough, had left a deep mark during the seventies. Brian Clough, who is not amongst us since 2004, had a huge share [. Click to continue reading...

Round-up of the week

FC Boro 23 November @ 06:57 PM EST
First of all sorry that this site has not been updated as much this week as I've been pretty busy. On to the football side of things and it hasn't been a great week to be a Stevenage Borough supporter. The beginning of the week saw Dino Maamria return to the club as first team [...] Click to continue reading...

Forest Green 0-3 Boro

FC Boro 21 September @ 09:35 AM EST
Boro won their 3rd game in a row with an impressive 3-0 win away at Forest Green. After 2 good home wins against Burton and Altrincham respectively, Boro travelled to Gloucestershire aiming to get another 3 points on the board at a ground where they have struggled in recent seasons to pick up points. My trip to Barrow

FC Boro 16 September @ 04:49 PM EST
Living here in Derbyshire as an exiled Boro' supporter, I only really get to see the away games at Burton, York and Mansfield and it does have its benefits, methinks after what had been a poor start to the season. However I decided to take in a trip with my son to Barrow to see if Boro could get [. Click to continue reading...

Boro 4-1 Burton

FC Boro 06 September @ 04:06 PM EST
Stevenage returned to winning ways beating Burton Albion 4-1 at Broadhall Way after the mid-week defeat at Kettering Town. A hat-trick from Steve Morison and Lee Boylan's first goal for the club sealed a good victory against a lacklustre Burton side. I went along to the pre-match "20-20″ talk with Graham Westley and found out the [. Click to continue reading...

Burton Preview

FC Boro 04 September @ 12:46 PM EST
Graham Westley needs points and quickly after the mid-week defeat to Kettering left Boro hovering over the relegation zone with just 5 points from their opening 7 games. Boro were in a confident mood going into the game at Rockingham Road after an impressive 3-1 victory at Barrow, but that will feel like a long time ago [. Click to continue reading...
