Headlines with question marks are always funny, but in this case due to the nature of automated
translation and the global nature of football there is little certainty. Indications are that
forward Prince Tagoe is no longer with his club. We're talking about a Ghana national team player
played in Germany and Serbia during the last season, was heavily connected to the Seattle Sounders
at the summer window in 2011, eventually moved to Bursaspor in Turkey.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, BUT NOT SO HAPPY TURKISH FOOTBALL
First, over the years, people who has follow me here,I would like to wish all of you Happy New
Year and thank you, for following my blog...
The year 2011, was UGLY for Turkish Football!
The scandals, allegations,TFF's backtracks and uncertainty in Turkish Football, carried over to
2012!
Liverpool target Teo Gutierrez has been made available by his club - but only if his £8m valuation
is met.
The Racing Club de Avellaneda forward has been attracting the attention of a number of clubs across
Europe and the impending eight game ban Luis Suarez is facing has heightened Liverpool's thoughts
of adding another striker to their squad.
The busy week ended with a change on top only with goal difference....
Galatasaray perhaps is the best team of the week, in my opinion....
They have beat, two important opponents in four days, last week...
Galatasaray scored six goals and only allowed only one goal.
Guus Hiddink coach of Turkish National team announced the Turkish National Team squad for
Cratila play-off matches...
Turkey-Croatia EURO 2012 play-off match will be played at Türk Telekom Arena on Friday, November
11 and kick off at 21.05, local Turkey Time..
We could say it was football, everyday, since Oct 26th to 0ct 31th in the Turkish Super
League...
TFF,cremmed in, week 8 and 9, in between those days!
Prety much, every stadium was half emty through out theese matches....
In the week 8, Besiktas, Fenerbhace derby match was the best match!
Turkish Super League week 7, will take a start on Friday and end on Monday night...
In the week 6, Fenerbahce with winning in away match kept their form and won in Mersin.
Buyuksehir, Galatasaray, Orduspor, with winning, kept the pressure on top...
Besiktas losing against Kayserispor at home was the upset of the week 6!
It will be, back to Turkish Super League on Friday with Trabzonspor vs Ankaragucu match..
With a win against Ankaragucu at home could move Trabzonspor to second place with 11 points, before
the Saturday, Sunday matches.
There will be three matches on Saturday , four matches on Sunday and one match on Monday in the
week 6.
When was the last time we saw Istanbul big guns on top of the Turkish Super League together?
It has been long time!
At the end of week 5, before the National team break , Fenerbahce is in first place and Galatasaray
on second and Besiktas on Fourth. In between them there is another Istanbul minow Buyuksehirspor
who is on third place.
The Turkish Süper Lig has finally got under way over the last weekend following extensive
investigations into match-fixing. Last season's champions Fenerbahçe scraped a 1-0 home win
against Ordurspor last night whilst both of their arch-rivals Beşiktaş and Galatasaray
experienced losing starts to the campaign going down to Eskişehirspor and Istanbul BB
respectively.

(Summary is not available.)
Turkish club Bursaspor have begun building an awe-inspiring new arena, complete with a giant
crocodile on the roof.
Bursaspor's Teteh Bangura used his hand to flick the ball over the Anderlecht defender. The
referee awarded a penalty to Bursaspor.
If we assume that the ref was trying to do his job as well as he could then why would he award a
penalty when it should have been a free kick for the opposite team ?

Spotted during Bursaspor's 2-1 home defeat against Anderlecht in the Europa League last night,
quite possibly the worst penalty call of all time, ever well, at least the worst one since whenever
the last one was...
Bursaspor's Teteh Bangura climbs over his marker to flick the ball on with his hand and then, to
put the icing on the dog turd, gets rewarded with a spot kick for his troubles.

On a day when a host of Americans Abroad had first-leg games in the playoff round of the UEFA
Europa League, Clint Dempsey had the best performance with a 90-minute outing in which he bagged a
brace.
Dempsey scored the last two goals in Fulham's 3-0 victory against Dnipro, likely assuring the
Cottagers' passage to the next round.
Besiktas, Trabzonspor and Bursaspor will have a very tight matches today in the Europa League
playoffs.
Out of the three I think Besiktas has the weakest opponent....
They have a better chances to go to group stages than Trabzonspor and Bursaspor...
Besiktas play against Russia's Alania, while Bursaspor and Trabzonspor apparently have tougher
opponents.

Another strong opening for Altidore, but....(seen here with former USMNT & current Alkmaar
director Ernie Stewart.)
Jozy Altidore opened up his season for his new employers, AZ Alkmaar, early (so so very early)
this morning with only his third league goal in the past 18 months.

West Brom goalkeeper Scott Carson has joined Turkish club Bursaspor for an undisclosed fee, the
Premier League club announced on Friday.
What do Tomar Hemed, Craig Conway and Neil Danns all have in common?
All three were targeted by Scottish champions Rangers and all three turned them down FLAT.
After securing their 54th championship on the final day of last season, there was an expectation
at Ibrox that it would just be a case of Ally McCoist stepping into Walter Smith's shoes at the
club and hitting the ground running.
What happened to the stars of Euro 2009?
Two years ago at the UEFA U-21 Championship in Sweden, I made a list of the
players to watch out for in the future - those young guns who looked set to make the next
step to the big time.

The US Men's National Team knew they needed a quality performance against a lesser side on
Tuesday night. They dominated the match, but only managed a 1-0 victory over Guadeloupe, after
squandering countless chances to put the match out of reach.
Fifteen minutes. That is all it took for the U.S. Men's National Team to turn Saturday's
embarrassment at the hands of Spain into nothing more than a bump in the road during an
international friendly.
When Jozy Altidore found the back of the net 15 minutes into the Americans' game against Canada
in Tuesday night's opening match of group play in the Gold Cup, everything that happened on the
field against Spain was forgotten.

DETROIT - Jozy Altidore entered the media press conference room following the U.S. men's
national team's Gold Cup opener with Canada and was quickly received with the Man of the Match
trophy, a small-sized silver replica of the actual Gold Cup.

'Life at Loan'
This was an interesting topic to explore given the fact that so many U.S. players were on loan for
the second half of the season. Beyond the three we spoke with, we had Brad Guzan at Hull, Eric
Lichaj at Leeds, Jozy Altidore at Bursaspor, and others.
Bob Bradley has announced his 23 man roster that will play in a June 4th tune up match against
Spain as well as the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Unlike the '09 Gold Cup, the USA will focus all of its
attention to winning this tournament in order to gain entrance into the 2013 Confederations
Cup.

In recent months, Alejandro Bedoya has been the subject of several transfer rumors. He'll likely
be involved with more after his latest performance.
Bedoya was involved in all of Orebro SK's goals in the team's 3-1 win over GAIS on Sunday.
With the Gold Cup drawing near, and Bob Bradley's roster announcement impending, most American
soccer pundits are writing about who Bob Bradley will or should call up for the tournament. It's
time for us to do the same...sort of.
As you know if you read these pages with any regularity, we here at Project 2010 are mildly
obsessed with our little creation, the P2010 Index, an aggregation of the soccer media's ratings of
US players in international matches (it's all explained here) .
Freddy Adu helped Rizespor work their way back into promotion contention while Jozy Altidore and
Bursaspor had an unexpected weekend off.
