LONDON, England — Manchester United's bid to maintain their position on the top of the Premier
League with victory at Blackpool on Saturday has been scuppered by the freezing temperatures in
England. United are two points clear of second placed Chelsea but they may lose first place after
their game was postponed as a result [.
A little weekend ditty for you. Back with more hopefully throughout the weekend.

The normally slow starting Toffees have started slower than normal. Tim Howard, usually resolute

Sad news on this cold day: Ralph Coates, who played with huge distinction for Burnley and then
Tottenham, has died following a stroke. He was 64.
Burnley chief executive Paul Fletcher, who once played with Coates, said: "He is still very much

April saw the ending of Liverpool's challenge on a number of fronts the success early in the

Diego Forlan and Atlético Madrid; the stumbling race for the fourth and final Champions League
spot was all but lost; Fernando Torres was ruled out for the rest of the season.
