Burkina Faso must be getting sick of the sight of Côte d'Ivoire. Despite an excellent run in World
Cup 2010 qualifying it was always going to be difficult to sneak into their group's top spot for
South Africa ahead of Didier Drogba and co.
Simple question and yet such a complicated answer:
- The bookies say it's going to be the on-paper favorite Ivory Coast.
- History says it will be Egypt, two-time defending champions.
- Your gut says it won't be either.
Then who will it be?
Everything, at least right now, points to two teams: Ghana & Ivory Coast.
It's right around the corner, you know. And by 'right around the corner', we mean that quite

i have watched in quite some time. Mali made a dramatic comeback from 4 goals down to ensure they
earned a point against the hosts Angola. The Palancas Negras made light work of Mali in the first

AFCON tournament favourites Ivory Coast were held to a barren draw last night in Cabinda by a
Burkina Faso side that were determined to make the most out of their opening Group B encounter.
Burkina Faso, the underdogs in this match, were lucky not to concede a goal as Ivory Coast had more
than a handful of chances to score.
