With the return of Luis Suarez to the Liverpool on Monday night, having served his mammoth ban from
football, reports are that Manager Kenny Dalglish will opt to unleash the talismatic Uraguyan
striker from the bench.
Monday night's game from Anfield will see Liverpool pit their wits against 3rd-placed Spurs who are
something like 12 points ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League.
As you probably know, Tottenham coach Harry Redknapp is currently been investigated for tax
evasion offenses committed over 3 years ago and things got interesting yesterday when in tape
recordings presented to the court, Redknapp said that he could not have fiddled his tax returns
because he is illetrate.
Spurs manager Harry Redknapp set-up a secret offshore 'bung' account named after his pet dog, a
court heard yesterday. Redknapp was said to have received "bungs or offshore bonuses" from former
Portsmouth chairman Milan Mandaric during his time at Fratton Park. The payments were allegedly
received into a bank account in Monaco.
I've missed out on Beckham mania. He started his football career when I had already left England so
I was spared the hysteria and bullshit that accompanies people who are thought of as
celebrities.
Now though it seems that I'm about to get my fair share with reports suggesting LA Galaxy will play
a friendly in Jakarta at the end of November.

Das Transferfenster ist geschlossen und wie in jedem Jahr stehen wieder etliche Profis ohne Verein
und ohne Vertrag da. Eine blöde Situation ist das, die einen kommen beim von der

Not good for the Thais is it? The slenderest of leads to take to the middle east, defeat against
Palestine would cap a memorable period in Thai football, coincidentally under FA boss Worawi
Makudi, when they have failed in the SEA Games, the Asian Cup, the AFF Cup and now this?
I won't bore you with another mega-post detailing this FIFA crap. Just remember two things: 1)
As long as FIFA gets (practically) free labor from players and shifts the burden of hosting to
countries, then they will be a money-grubbing gang of crooks with no incentive to change. 2) FIFA
is not a dictatorship, it is a 21st century kleptocracy ala Latin America where the forces of
capital hollow out democratic mechanisms.
So, FIFA and Interpol have united to crack down on match-fixing. Sepp Blatter is concerned that
if money influences the game, then people will lose respect for the sport. Forget kettles. Forget
pots. Let's just all cover our mouths, contain our laughter, and fight the tears flowing from our
eye sockets.

It's time to fly the flag, to stand up and be counted, to be unequivocally and shamelessly
chauvinistic about all things Arsenal. Today, we fight for our pride!
I may be preaching to the choir on this one but a re-affirmation of all that the letters AFC
stands for is long overdue.
