The image is less fuzzy than the logic behind the sign.
The return of our heroic and legendary goalscorer should have inspired the New York fanbase last
night at Red Bull Arena, and that enthusiasm should have, in turn, inspired the players to perform
their best for their beloved fans.
Welcome to Club 23
Chicago Red Eye Cover Story:
"No. 23 on a sports jersey is special in Chicago.
Michael Jordan brought the Bulls a dynasty with that number. Devin Hester ran with it to the
Super Bowl, although the Bears didn't win that year. Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg also wore that
number, as did White Sox fielder Jermaine Dye when he was named MVP of the 2005 World Series.
Hereford United fans we chatted to in the aftermath of the club's 1-1 draw with Plymouth Argyle on
Good Friday seemed resigned to their fate. Given the club's history – one that saw them
controversially elevated to the Football League status in preference to Chelmsford City back in
1972 plus a spell of Conference purgatory in the mid-noughties, expectations never get ahead of
themselves at Edgar Street.

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Dom Dwyer did not know he was heading to the 2012 MLS Combine until a
day before the event kicked off, but that did not stop him from having a decent showing at the
event that he capped off with a goal.
Dwyer helped adiZero (blue) to a 3-1 win over Prime (green) on Tuesday morning, scoring an
insurance goal in the 52nd minute of the game when he pounced on a rebound and knocked the ball
into the back of the net.
It's probably the worst kept secret in Singapore football beyond the would DPMM rejoin in 2012 but
Darren Stewart has moved to take charge of Balestier Khalsa after several years with Gombak
United.
Stewart had built an exciting team at the Bulls a couple of years back and looked set to break the
Uniforms monopoly on the SLeague when it was decided by the powers that be that Gabrial Obatala and
Kingsley Njoku could no longer stay in the country therefore depriving the team of their first
choice strikers with the seasons just 180 minutes old.
People frequenting this small online settlement will be well-aware that I get jittery as fuck
when big games come along. Arsenal have proved themselves to be flaccid and impotent on many
occasions in the past; slipping, sliding, making elementary mistakes and prompting the inception of
cringe-worthy wordplay jokes, perennially fuelling my jitters in the process.
I'm late on this, but it's worth following up on how Paul Kemsley is out at the Fake Cosmos and
that the organization is facing a lawsuit for payment of money to the youth sides it cravenly
rebranded. David Kilpatrick at The Viper's Nest gloats accordingly:
Speaking of goodbyes, none more welcome than shyster wideboy Paul Kemsley.

Ah that perennially heart-warming animal-on-a-football-pitch story!
Well, here's the latest to put a simpering smile on your face. During a Copa Sudamericana game
between Santa Fé and Botafogo, a canine whippersnapper decided to indulge in a bit of player and
official baiting.
Nearly three months since the Bulls beat down Toronto at the Cathedral, but it seems like three
years ago. Despite winning two from their last three league matches, few supporters can be accused
of hubris as we begin the month that will determine whether or not the year's a success or a
humiliating failure.
I understand Gombak United coach Darren Stewart is being linked with a move to Johor ahead of next
season's Malaysia Premier League.
Aussie Stewart is in his third season with The Bulls and many felt the team would have won some
silverware in 2010 had the fates not conspired against them so cruelly.
Game night, fans. The Bulls are in Rio Tinto looking to pick up crucial points away from home.
Keep it locked here for live banter with yours truly and feel free to chime in and let your voice

There might be a bit of delusion setting in at Porto after their astonishing run under Roman's
latest boy toy last year, and it doesn't seem to show any signs of stopping.
Porto prez Pinto da Costa keeps the insanity and inanity coming:
"It may sound like a heresy, but I would not trade Hulk for Cristiano Ronaldo.
You never know what you're gonna get with Albirex Niigata in the SLeague. The other day they
thumped Gombak United 5-1. Not long before that they got turned over by Geylang United, 1-0. Their
42 goals from 19 games makes them the second highest goalscorers in the SLeague behind Home United
and they sit in 4th place, 4 points behind leaders Home.
Some brief interviews with the guys regarding Sunday's match against the New York Red Bulls.
Philadelphia 1 – Salt Lake 1 Philadelphia kept their home undefeated streak intact after falling
behind to a 24th minute Keon Daniel goal. That took a 53rd minute equalizer from Fabian Espindola
that not only kept the Union's streak going, but also brought them level on points with 1st-place
New York.
David Trezeguet To Red Bulls?
A french paper is reporting that NYRB are in discussions to re-unite the former French striking
pair
"Goats Gore Bulls in Belated Battle of Barnyard Beasts"
That's all I have because that headline would shine brighter than anything I could write about that
game. I challenge you to do better. No, seriously please leave your own terrible/brilliant NY
Post-style headline in the comments.
A few shots from the day of the Dead Bulls match. Anybody know any good photographers willing to
work for backrubs?
Despite the occasional minor disagreement, we love PPL's other boys (and girls) in blue (and
yellow), the security team. But when the Dead Bulls come to town, are the SoB's paying the price
for New York's lack of class?
We've decided to add a new category to the site aptly named "Ian Holloway
Watch", he's been a breath of fresh air since Blackpool reached the EPL via the
Play-Offs last Summer, his no bulls**t attitude to both EPL authorities and clubs have been
outrageous, his current stance on midfielder Charlie Adams staying at Bloomfield Road have been as
entertaining as his teams attacking football on the pitch and here's our first installment of "Ian
Holloway watch".
Ngwenya, who turned out for Railstars before leaving for the US, was on Tuesday seen
training with newly-promoted Chicken Inn.
"They (DC United) will be starting preparations soon, but I am still here, I have some stuff that I
have to sort out," Ngwenya said.
A source at Railstars, where Ngwenya was training last week told NewsDay Sport on Thursday that the
player indicated he would be going back to the US in two weeks.
