I really dislike Phil Brown, his managerial style, his team and the general fear of serious
injury that such games evoke. These are managers whose teams can be summed up by one word –
fight.
In itself, fighting spirit is not a bad quality. In fact, it's a necessary attribute for any top
side and I really appreciate a team with the ability to give their all.
Hull 1 (Bullard pen 28) Arsenal 2 (Arshavin 14, Bendtner 90)
(Premiership)
When you play a side as dislikable as Hull, with a manager like Phil Brown, the default position
is to wish for an absolute hammering, to send them back with their tails between their legs.
But not in the way you might have expected. Below the line are all (most) transfers since
2006.
First, just goes to show how many players come and go. We know this, of course, but seeing
them all written down is nevertheless very surprising.
I had a quick look through the ins and figured maybe 19 good signings, 16 bad ones, and another
19 in between.
Right, back to business.
If games were played on paper, environmentalists would argue that this one wasn't worth the
bother. Just scrawl it on the back of a bus ticket and perhaps do some good in the world. Save a
tree. Heck, why not give one a hug? Form and league standings suggest this ought to be a
home banker for Tottenham.
Wow. That game against Peterborough seems like a really long time ago. Thankfully, the snow has
now gone and we're back in business against Hull.
They're a team that we should really beat quite comfortably. Without Bullard to push them on,
they really struggle at this level and their side is further weakened by Cousin and Olofinjana
being away on international duty, while Altidore is on compassionate leave following the disaster
in Haiti.

Hull 1 Arsenal 2.. (Arsenal win on away goals).
It's getting to the stage where we can scrap the team coach and hire a mini bus to take our fit
players to away games. We are savaged with injuries, which as usual the media choose to forget.
A lot of the pundits are knocking Bendtner, even after the infamous Porto "hat trick" and 6 goals
in the last 5 starts and in his favoured position at last.
