Deportivo Saprissa president Juan Carlos Rojas has confirmed in an interview with a Costa Rican radio station that the Union has been in contact with the club about Josue Martinez, saying "I would not go into much detail but there has been interest from Philadelphia [in Martinez].

There are a few surprises mixed in with a number of other teams that we knew were going to be great.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is a decent NFL quarterback. At best, he's an average starter. But don't tell the Buffalo Bills because they apparently believe that he's elite. On Friday, the Bills gave Fitzpatrick a contract extension worth nearly $60 million over six years.

Yes. $60 million. For Ryan Freakin' Fitzpatrick.

Tom Brady has made a career out of owning the Pittsburgh Steelers. On Sunday, the Steelers finally got some revenge. While holding Brady in check and getting a great performance out of Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers won by a final score of 25-17.

Roethlisberger finished 36-for-50 for 365 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Stay classy, Stevie Johnson. The young wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills mocked Plaxico Burress after scoring a touchdown against the New York Jets by pretending to shoot himself in the thigh. As you remember, Plaxico Burress was arrested and served jail time after shooting himself in the leg back in 2008.

We called out Stevie Johnson for making fun of Plaxico Burress shooting himself in his thigh. On Monday, Stevie Johnson apologized for his touchdown celebration. You can see the Stevie Johnson celebration video here.

Plaxico Burress said he got a call and a text message from Stevie Johnson after the game.

Stevie Johnson's poor decision to mock Plaxico Burress shooting himself in the thigh continues to haunt him. On Wednesday, the NFL fined Stevie Johnson $10,000 for his touchdown celebration. Neither the NFL nor the wide receiver for the Buffalo Bills has commented on the fine.

As we noted earlier, Plaxico Burress decided to ride the high road and has forgiven Stevie Johnson.

Fans of the New England Patriots can't be feeling too happy right now. Tom Brady, the Patriots franchise quarterback, has a shoulder injury that was serious enough to warrant a shoulder X-ray. Brady also sat out practice on Thursday.

The good news for the Patriots and their quarterback is that Brady's injury isn't considered serious.
