Quick name the top ten players who shouldn't become coaches when all is said and done.
Did Zlatan fall on anyone's list? Or maybe...did Zlatan fall on everyone's list? To say he has a
prickly personality would be to call the old Ronaldo, now new Ronaldo, a bit chunky.
And yet.
1e47? If you've ever seen an impressive pre-match tifo on the continent and thought to yourself
that it cannot be easy to coordinate such a large scale public art display, then Steaua Bucharest
are here to prove you right. The Romanian side suffered a nasty back-to-front digit (oo-er) in
their ranks ahead of recent match.

Oguchi Onyewu got the start for Sporting, beating FC Zurich 2-0 at home to win Group D. Ricky van
Wolfswinkel opened the scoring in the 15th minute, with Valeri Bojinov doubling the lead in the
58th. Boeck Marcelo needed one save for the shutout. Jermaine Jones went the distance for Schalke
04, beating Steaua Bucharest 2-1 to qualify for the next round.
I saw a very nice match last night, a match that had almost everything in it, penalties, a very
late goal and great comebacks.
CFR seemed the team that had the better players and controlled the first half, but in spite of
their dominance the first goal was scored by Dinamo. 0-1 but nothing was even close to being
decided.
Well, more 'fan attacks', really. Steaua Bucharest defender George Galamaz, busy doing the
outrageous thing of living. And then came the fan and chaos soon ensued. A flare not the guy
committing assault on another human being permanently ended the match later on.
And don't forget the bonus of Gigi Becali yelling in a language you probably don't
understand.
IF Rooney scores against City - Money Back Special from Paddy Power United were in action on
Tuesday night in Bucharest in a vital Champions League Group C fixture against Otelul Galati, Wayne
Rooney grabbed the headlines with a brace from the penalty spot as the Reds ran out 2-0 winners.
Rooney has of course been at the centre of media attention for the wrong reasons over the last two
weeks
Manchester United defeated Otelul Galati but it was a far from routine Champions League night in
Bucharest for Sir Alex Ferguson team. After a boring first half, Wayne Rooney put United
ahead...

Why this week could define Rooney and United's seasons
Wyanr Rooney may be crushed by the three-match ban that has ruled him out of all of England's
group games at Euro 2012. But Rooney must channel all that anger and aggression at the perceived
injustice of his suspension the right way in his next three games for Manchester United, which
could arguably define their season.
There was something oddly consuming about the dullness of today's France-Romania European
Qualifying match. It was played in Bucharest, in front of a packed and energized crowd of Romanian
fans, who understood that this was probably the pivotal moment in the country's attempt to get to
the European Cup next year.

Just happened across this ethereal fish-eye shot of a tractor-wielding bod laying the pitch at
the newly built National Arena in Romania and figured it was suitably impressive to share...
The story is that Argentina have just pulled out of a friendly against Romania after 'rescinding
the contract' of coach Sergio Batista, a game which was due to be held at (and probably go some way
towards paying for) the new stadium in Bucharest.
The annual Super Cup match has opened the new season in Romania with last season's league
champions Oțelul Galați getting the better of cup winners Steaua Bucharest with a single goal
victory. Laurențiu Buș grabbed the only goal of the game after just a quarter of an hour and the
champions never relinquished the lead in what was an exciting opener to the 2011-12 campaign.
Argentinian football players such as Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, Angel Di Maria can be
witnessed by fans this year. Although national team coach Sergio Batista has dropped Carlos Tevez
from the lineup for tactical reasons.
Argentina National Football Team 2011 Schedule:
July 1-24 Copa America
June 1 -Friendly against Nigeria in Abuja
June 5 Friendly against Poland in Warsaw
June 20 Friendly against Albania in Argentina
August 10 Friendly against Romania in Bucharest
September 2 Friendly against Venezuela in Calcutta, India
September 6 Friendly against Nigeria in Bangladesh
It ain't over 'til it's over, but as of now, European competition for a twelfth-straight season
looks unlikely. Last missing out in 1999-2000, Liverpool have racked up a fair amount of frequent
flier miles since the turn of the 21st century.
