Chelsea continue to hemorrhage money after announcing a loss of £67.7million for the financial
year ending June 30, 2011.
That is only a slight drop decrease from the loss of £70.9million in 2010, as Chelsea struggles
to fall in line with UEFA's new financial fair play rules.
Since Roman Abramovich bought the club, Chelsea have now lost a combined £620million.

London club Chelsea lost their bid to buy back the freehold of their Stamford Bridge Stadium
after an extraordinary meeting between the club and the Chelsea Pitch Owners Association (CPO)
failed to convince 75% of the shareholders on the club's plans for the piece of land.
The proposal would have ultimately led to the Blues erecting a 60,000 seater stadium on the
piece of land.
Today wasn't exactly the end-all day of days for Chelsea to buy back Stamford Bridge.
Nevertheless, it will be seen as a roadblock in the club's attempt to move forward with a new
stadium. For those unaware, the club did receive the required 75 percent of votes from shareholders
at Thursday's general meeting of Chelsea Pitch Owners that would have allowed the club to purchase
back the freehold and thus move it to a new stadium in the very near future.

Bruce Buck gives poor old John Terry a big hug
According to the Guardian, Blues bigwig Bruce Buck, in speaking about the club's failure in
their bid to buy back the freehold of Stamford Bridge, went slightly off script in relation to the
weekend's big London derby.
Bruce Buck appeared on Chelsea TV tonight talking and taking calls from the Chelsea fans about the
offer from Chelsea to the Chelsea Pitch Owners. JT has added his voice to the debate this week and
so has AVB so make sure you check out their views too.
Here are two clips from the programmed aired live tonight.

Manchester United are the benchmark to every football club aiming for long term success. The Red
Devils stuck with Sir Alex Ferguson despite winning nothing in his first four years in charge and
have fully reaped the rewards, having overtaken Liverpool's record 18 domestic league titles last
year and winning two Champions League titles in the Scot's ongoing 25 year reign.
Remember how I moaned about the fact that Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck made a ridiculous statement
about the fact that AVB could be our manager for the next 10 years and how we should just let AVB
get on with the job at hand this season?
Well, as predicted, the press brought Buck's comments to the attention of AVB and asked him about
the possibly being our manager for that long.

The Glazer family discussed the possibility of individual selling of overseas television rights
with John W Henry and his colleagues at Liverpool before club chief executive Ian Ayre floated the
subject this week, The Daily Telegraph understands.
Ayre's suggestion that the biggest clubs in the league abandon the Premier League's collective
selling model and exploit their overseas rights individually has met with opposition from the
league and clubs concerned that it would ultimately weaken the competition.
This is highly interesting. Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, according to an insightful piece in
today's Independent, purchased 100 Chelsea Pitch Owners shares at £100 each in April
2011. This entitles him to the maximum 100 votes in the upcoming apparent make-or-break meeting on
27 October.

Perhaps, like me, you missed this earlier in the week. Nevertheless, at least we did come across
it eventually.
There has been an immeasurable amount of talk since Chelsea revealed its proposal to buy back
the Stamford Bridge freehold from Chelsea Pitch Owners. This topic has been as polarizing as any in
recent memory with regard to the club, and much of the talk has been under-informed at best thanks
to a lack of real concrete material from which to draw.
More comments from Bruce Buck, this time he has confirmed once again the requirement of the Chelsea
manager from above. He said:
"You want to win trophies – we have started to do that. You want to win them
creatively – we have done some of that and want to do more. We like the entertaining
approach.

For regular readers of my blog, you would have seen my post yesterday. For those of you that
haven't you can catch it here. Basically, I posted comments made by Bruce Buck about AVB and the
fact that he could be our manager for the next 10-15 years. Deja-vu don't you think considering
this is what was said of Jose Mourinho.

This past week marked the 2011 version of the Leaders in Football conference which, according to
its website, was created to provide a "networking environment in order to bring together football's
most important leaders to share knowledge, best practice and ideas.
Bruce Buck is given an interview quoted on the BBC Sport website and has spoken of AVB's impact at
the club and the fact that he could be our manager for the next 10-15 years. He said:
"We do envy Arsene Wenger at Arsenal and Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in
terms of longevity, but it shouldn't be longevity for longevity's sake.

Cfcuk, renowned as the "peoples" publication, has been on the streets since May 1999 when it was
originally launched as Matthew Harding's Blue and White Army. Chelsea Football Fanzine, 'the best
of cfcuk" Volume One, takes a look back at the first 5o issues showcasing a fascinating selection
of articles, interviews and editorial material featured between May 1999 and September 2005, From
'fighting' Ken Bates to 'loving' Mr Abramovich, Chelsea Football Fanzine reflects the changing
views and opinions of supporters who followed the Blues during one of the most turbulent and
ultimately glorious periods in the Clubs history.
In his final press conference of our season yesterday, when you would expect coverage to be on the
game itself, Carlo Ancelotti's comments about his future have become the focus of media attention
yet again and once again, he has remained defiant.
He said:
"We will arrange a meeting to discuss our issues but I'm very quiet, very calm, and I
just want to wait and see what the club have decided.
The thing about Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is that very few people have heard him speak. Fewer
still have heard him speak in a language they understand. And when Abramovich does speak, it's
never in public or to the media. As for the people he employs to actually run Chelsea -- primarily
club Chairman Bruce Buck and Chief Executive Ron Gourlay -- they talk very little and say even
less.

make pretty reading.
Chelsea's annual wage bill soared last season to £172.5million, which is almost £40million
more the next highest payers Manchester City paid.

Fernando Torres has finally put pen to paper at Chelsea Football Club for a British transfer
record fee of £50million.
Torres who arrives from Liverpool, has put pen to paper on a lucrative five and half year
contract and will be available for Sunday's game, amazingly, against his former club.
LONDON, England Chelsea have completed the signing of Spain striker Fernando Torres from Liverpool
