Liverpool owner John W Henry along with his not-unattractive WAG, Linda
Pizzuti enjoyed a spot of dinner with Luis Suarez's agent at London
restaurant last night, as the two parties continue to negotiate a £15 million move for the
Uruguayan flesh-eater.

When we first speculated about Sergio Ramos' potential new love interest, many of you here (and
us included) felt the relationship was innocent until proven with pictures.
So, does a corner image on the cover of Cuore magazine make this relationship real,
now?
John Rooney, brother of Manchester United striker Wayne, was drafted to the MLS
by New York Red Bull. 20-year old Rooney has stated he wants to step out of his
older brothers shadows an make a name for himself New York might just be the ideal spot for
him.
Below is the goal Rooney scored at the MLS Combine last week.
The current transfer window in Poland is far more interesting that I expected. First of all, the
'eternal' talent of Polish football, Paweł Brożek, finally left Poland (together with his brother
Piotr) to play for the Turkish league leaders Trabzonspor. Even earlier Sławomir Peszko decided to
capitalize on his impressive Europa League performances and moved to his dreamt of Bundesliga.
John Rooney, the younger brother of Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, has been in South
Florida this past weekend plying his skills in the 2011 MLS Combine where he scored a goal Monday
(see above video) during a 2-0 win for his team.
This is the final chance for Rooney and prospective draftees to impress MLS coaches ahead of the
MLS SuperDraft on January 13 in Baltimore.
Some quick news to get you started on just a Suuuuper Draft sort of day.

Only a little from TSG...
MLS SuperDraft day today. Unfortunately, we're not your best resource today....but I am hearing
that "there is a lot of speculation as to the 1st pick.
I've been in and out of the stadium this week with flu, and found some great shots from this
year's Major League Soccer SuperDraft on my hard drive. As many of you know, we selected
defender/midfielder Perry Kitchen from the University of Akron. Below is the best of the bunch from
the festivities in Baltimore, Md.
From the Guardian:
Blackburn Rovers have made an audacious bid to sign Ronaldinho from Milan. The plan is the
brainchild of Balaji Rao, a member of the family who run Venky's, the Indian chicken company which
recently bought the Lancashire club.
Ronaldinho has been given permission by Milan to find a new club and was widely believed to be
heading back to Brazil to play for Gremio.
Do Spurs need to be a part of Brand Beckham? But it's David Beckham... and we are Spurs.... so of
course I would want us to sign him The above quote is not from one of the bastions of our game, but
instead my brother. But matter not, it highlights my point perfectly. David Beckham, [...]
NEW YORK Wayne Rooney's younger brother John has signed with Major League Soccer and will be
eligible for selection at next week's draft. The 20-year-old forward will be at the MLS combine of
prospects from Jan. 7-11 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. MLS spokesman Will Kuhns said Tuesday that Rooney
has already signed a contract [.
Andrew Lichaj, brother of Eric Lichaj, and others survive first round of Open Tryouts
List of all the other players is on the Fire's website above. Andrew Lichaj is profiled still on
the archive for the Illinois Institute of Technology 2009 soccer team
Not that I assume anyone is looking for, but you can find me here, over here and over here for the
next few days. Holla.
Also, I'm going on a swamp boat with a Rooney brother tomorrow. Living. The. Dream.
Attention brothers, sisters and fellow members of the congregation of the Church of American
Soccer: it's time to pass around the collection plate.
The creators of the independent film Gringos at the Gate need our help to get their movie out of
the edit bay and into theaters/DVD players so it's time to put up (cash) or shut up; watch the clip
above to find out how you can help make this bit of celluloid soccer magic happen.

Yep, you heard/read that right. Sunderland's big-name January signing is looking likely to be
none other than the former Foreign Secretary David Miliband who is, if memory
serves, a staunch Gooner by trade.
After losing out to his younger brother, 'Red' Ed Miliband, in the race for the Labour party
leadership, it seems as though Miliband the elder is now on the verge of joining chairman
Niall Quinn on the Black Cats' board in a non-executive, vice-chairman capacity
that will see him focus on both the club's international and community work in return for £50,ooo
a year.
David and Victoria Beckham are expecting their fourth child on next summer. The couple's
three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5, were said to be 'very excited' at the prospect of
a new brother or sister.
The Beckhams have previously spoken of their keenness to add to their family and it is thought both
are keen to add a girl to their brood.
Hello.
My brother's girlfriend has started to use the more-southern pronunciation of terrible as
turrible. It's a great way of saying that something is terrible while simultaneously trying to eek
out a laugh at the situation. I think it's an apt way to describe Arsenal's performance against
Ipswich.
John Rooney is trending on Twitter right now. Why? Because the New York Red Bulls procured the
British footballer in the MLS Superdraft. Many of you are wondering who the hell is John Rooney.
Well, he is the younger brother of English footballer Wayne Rooney. Unfortunately for Rooney, his
career didn't take off as well as his older brother who plays for Manchester United.
BBC Sport fills us in on Corry Evans' loan move to Hull.
The Telegraph says Wayne Rooney will be fit for Spurs.
The Daily Mail reports on Wayne Rooney's brother joining Thierry Henry at New York Red
Bulls.
Studs Up pokes fun at thick Carlos Tevez.
The Guardian shows us exactly how much of a cry baby Cesc Fabregas is.
So to take our minds off our RBNY offseason doldrums, I met up with the great You Suck Corrales, as
well as our friends Ania & Steve, at the Blarney Rock Pub in NYC. Needless to say, lots of beer was
consumed. Besides that, I got some great post MLS Superdraft commentary, a preview of RBNY's
upcoming season, as well as a preview of our coming trip to Europe, from YSC.
Nat Lofthouse, United and the 1958 FA Cup Final My oldest friend is a life-long
Bolton Wanderers supporter. That's why for more than fifty of the sixty-odd years I have known
him we have argued about whether Nat Lofthouse, who sadly died earlier this month at the age of
85, fouled Manchester United's goalkeeper Harry Gregg in the 1958 FA Cup Final when scoring his
'controversial' second goal.
