Here's a video of a couple of Brooklyn boys breaking one of my cardinal rules for New York
area-living: never cross two rivers in one trip. If you have to go from the BK to The Dirty Jersey
make a pit stop in the city for a drink, a meal or anything to break up the trip. I find that it
makes the journey less epic.

Please see: Cruz, Brooklyn and Romeo with Victoria Beckham on the way to celebrate Romeo's 6th
birthday at Fogo De Chao in Beverly Hills.
Please note: Just like their parents set the bar for superstar football couples, it looks like
the Beckham brood are leading the way for all the 'baller babies to follow.

It's only $1,000, but I suppose it's the principle of the thing rather than amount. Hope he
doesn't take it out of Brooklyn's weekly allowance:
NEW YORK (AP) -- David Beckham was fined $1,000 by Major League Soccer, which said his gestures
toward taunting fans suggested that they leave their seats and come on the field.

Not sure why this one is newsworthy but the paparazzi of Los Angeles seemed to think that
following David Beckham and his two sons to a store was eventful.

What is it about Cruz Beckham? We love this kid more than Louboutins.
His little face looks like he's constantly scoping a trouble-making opportunity or a way to
cause a ruckus. He probably gave himself that hair-do whilst his parents were sleeping.
Brooklyn may be the first of the Beckham brood, and Romeo may be the poster child for
gorgessity, but Cruz is the shining star of this family.

If Zidane is in town I suppose it would be impolite not to say hi to other international soccer
stars. When Zinedine Zidane was in Canada with his family for the Charity games in Montreal,
Toronto and Vancouver, he took a quick jet down to Los Angeles to meet up with David and Victoria
Beckham.

I'm supposed to go see Phoenix tonight but I may take a pass as I am a bit under the weather and
would like to recover in time to tailgate the RBNY-Seattle match tomorrow. But just because I'm not
seeing them doesn't mean you can't; yesterday the Frenchies did Letterman (see above), my day job
and a gig in Brooklyn so there is plenty of video to go around.

Y'know, there's nothing wrong with the US National Team that forced loyalty oaths wouldn't cure. If
we had forced Ferdinando Rossi to change his name to Fred Ross at Ellis Island like we did back in
the good old days, we hand Italy their asses yesterday. It's those Red agitators, I tell you.
I don't know if it's necessarily infallible as a way of telling loyalty, but the worse the English
is on the player's official website, the less likely it is that the player in question is going to
be wearing our beloved anthracite.

On the last episode of the podcast, you heard me talk about Wilco, and you heard the music of JC
Brooks and the Uptown Sound. But did you ever think you would ever hear one covering the other?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you this.
Funny how that piano riff that sounded so disjointed on the original sounds killer with the horn
section.

La vita di "Iron" Mike, un dramma senza fine. L'ex campione della boxe, nato a Brooklyn nel 1966 e

quello capitatogli negli anni addietro) un altro momento difficile di una vita passata a difendersi

The Red Bulls accomplished an awful lot this past weekend; breaking their goalless streak,
gaining their first win of the season, debuting the final piece of the puzzle in Alfredo
Pacheco, and ultimately, breathing some hope into this season.
But on this gorgeous night, there was something missing.

Actually, no Rafinha can't fly and he isn't levitating in this picture. He just has been very busy
playing soccer locally and has just completed a free kick in this picture. Things are going very
well for him. Besides his opportunity to train with the Newark Ironbound Express, he also has
tryouts scheduled with the Long Island Rough Riders and Brooklyn Knights as well as some
opportunities back in Brazil including the possibility of a tryout with Flamengo!

be there. The Dewar Trophy, which goes to the [.

Romeo bends it like Beckham
David Beckham's five year old son is following in his dad's footsteps, curving the ball
into the net in a way that's almost identical to Becks' famous free kick.Romeo Beckham kicked the
ball across the old block at an American soccer school, in David's signature style shot, which had
the onlookers open-mouthed.

I'd like to give a massive, Brooklyn-sized shout out to Greg Lalas for his recent two-part piece on
SI.com's Outside The Box. Part 1 is the American Soccer Fan's Bill of Rights; some people may find
it a bit "presumptive", there is a bit of truth in what he's saying.
Part 2 is the American Soccer Fan's of Responsibilities; rarely do I agree nearly 100% with
anything anyone writes but I think I may have reached that point with this bang-on bit of educated
editorial.
