In an interview, David Beckham recounted a humorous story about his son. At a recent get together
with his LA Galaxy teammates, Brooklyn made and American to British English faux pas. Apparently,
Brooklyn was doodling and asked his father for sone rubbers. Beckham's teammates were very puzzled
by the child's request for condoms.
Mario Balotelli has given Beckham that is Brooklyn Beckham a signed Manchester City shirt which Dad
David Beckham reportedly wiped his nose on! Balotelli met Beckham during Sunday's thrilling
Manchester derby at Eastlands which United won 3-2 and progress to the 4th Round of the FA Cup. The
pair shook hands and exchanged [.
Cassius Barton and the weirdest football players' baby names
Joey Barton has caused eye-rolling at the registrar's office by naming his baby son Cassius.
It's a tribute from the boxing fan to legend Muhammad Ali, who was born Cassius Clay, and hey it's
better than calling him Ashley, Nietschze, Cigar or McDonald.
Nicolas Anelka will soon be playing professional soccer in China. This is surprising because
Nicolas Anelka is still a talented, effective soccer player who would help all but about 10 teams
in the world. This is not surprising because Nicolas Anelka is going to a place where they'll pay
him an exponent of a number it'd take me years to count to.
By Clemente Lisi - BROOKLYN, NY (Dec 14, 2011) US Soccer Players -- There have been very few
Christmas presents I received as a child that I can recall now as an adult. Growing up in the
1980's, I do remember the many Star Wars action figures and Atari videogame cartridges that were
stuffed into my stocking – the sort of toys that nowadays would be on display at the Smithsonian.
With Dwight Howard to become a free agent after this season, get ready for a ton of Dwight
Howard rumors over the next few months. The one that is making waves right now is a rumor that has
Dwight Howard getting traded to the New Jersey Nets.
The Nets are reportedly going to offer the Orlando Magic Brook Lopez plus draft picks in a swap
for Dwight Howard.
This picture, taken on the Brooklyn Bridge on November 17th by Mother Jones reporter
Josh Harkinson, is one of thousands of images generated by the Occupy Wall Street movement. The
sign is at once a declaration and a question: "Something is Happening." But what, precisely, is it?
And were will it take us?

Though he'll almost definitely be joining for the football, Paris Saint-Germain have jumped the
gun slightly and ordered 20,000 David Beckham™ shirts just in case David Beckham™ should join
them when his contract at LA Galaxy dwindles in November.
By J Hutcherson - WASHINGTON, DC (Sep 27, 2011) US Soccer Players -- The New Jersey Nets announced
on Monday that they would become the Brooklyn Nets next season, a move that should've surprised
nobody following the fortunes of North Jersey pro basketball. Malcolm Gladwell has the standard
account of the motivations behind basketball in New York's newly gentrified borough over at
Grantland.
While the 2011-12 NBA season may be wiped away by the lockout, fans in Brooklyn have reason to
look forward to the 2012-13 campaign. Why? That's the season the New Jersey Nets become the
Brooklyn Nets. The Brooklyn Nets will play at the Barclays Center a sports arena in Brooklyn that
cost in excess of $1 billion to construct.
Harper Seven Beckham and 10 bizarre football players' baby names
David Beckham has caused eye-rolling at the registrar's office once again by naming his newborn
daughter Harper Seven. But why did he and Victoria do it? And is it the weirdest footballer's baby
name ever?
Round 2 results were delayed a day thanks to a lightning storm in Madison which forced the
Chicago Fire PDL team and the Madison 56ers to replay their match this afternoon. The Fire win
continues the trend this tournament of a lack of upsets. The only team that can plausibly claim to
have beaten a team in the higher division is USASA's New York Pancyprian Freedoms, who beat the
NPSL's Brooklyn Italians in round one.
In Brooklyn Beckham's case, we simply cannot bestow our fun, photoshopped check mark of approval
since he's far too young to be dating. Seen exiting Boa Steakhouse on Sunday following 'his date',
we're reluctant to find his arm escortation chivalrous for a boy of his age, height and hair
cut.
So DC lost to Ajax in front of 10,000 people. The Dutch side dominated for most of the game
despite being without Maarten Stekelenburg and Christian Eriksen, and having started with Gregory
van der Wiel, Jan Vertgonhen and Siem de Jong on the bench. DC went down 1-0 in the tenth minute,
then leveled the score in the 58th with a goal from Blake Brettschneider, only to be finished off
by Vurnon Anita's goal in the 87th minute.
Princeton striker Matt Sanner did his best Sebastien Le Toux impersonation, as the young forward
scored a hat trick to lead the Reading United AC, the Philadelphia Union's Player Development
League team, to a 3-1 win over the Brooklyn Knights.
Here's information on the team's upcoming fixtures, per the team:
The United return home on Sunday, May 15th at 6:00pm for their home opener at Exeter's Don
Thomas Stadium to face rival New Jersey Rangers.
By Cesar Diaz - NEW YORK, NY (Apr 5, 2011) US Soccer Players -- Though the recent history of youth
development in American soccer tends to focus on large complexes built on the outskirts of major
metropolitan areas, there remains a notable exception. Located in Maspeth, the western corner of
Queens, east of Greenpoint and Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the Metropolitan Oval has been in existence
since 1925.
It may "not exist," but Brooklyn Black Ops is oh so good.
Let's lighten the mood a bit around here. This blog and blogging in general can get a bit dark and
grumpy at times - I admit.
So let's stray a bit from soccer. It's the off-season in North America anyway, so why not avoid all
the "usual" arguing, ranting, and invective for one post at least?
David and Victoria Beckham are expecting their fourth child on next summer. The couple's
three sons, Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5, were said to be 'very excited' at the prospect of
a new brother or sister.
The Beckhams have previously spoken of their keenness to add to their family and it is thought both
are keen to add a girl to their brood.
