After a season of many disappointments the Wizards close out the season against D.C United
Saturday night at the CAB, in a game that means nothing to us but a lot to them.
They are playing for their playoff life, while we keep playing the retread game lining-up players
that are in a slump, are old or who have already proven their value to the team.

Defour, even though he's currently laid up with a broken foot. Arsène Wenger has sent scouts to
watch the Belgian international, and was clearly impressed by unsurprising reports that he's flaked

Well, before we get to the preview, Adebayor looks to be in trouble. He's facing a 3-match ban
for violent conduct for stomping van Persie's face, and could be facing an additional ban for
inciting the Arsenal supporters at the Eastlands. Referee Mark Clattenberg said that he didn't see
the van Persie incident, but that if he had, he would have sent Adebayor off.

Stewart Downing was at Aston Villa's training ground to discuss his £12 million move from
relegated Middlesbrough and unlike most footballers worth £12 million, he arrived on crutches. The
England international is recovering from surgery on his fractured foot and won't be able to make
his debut until October, but Martin O'Neill has apparently decided to throw caution and cash to the
wind and sign him now instead of next January as previously believed.
