Starting this Sunday, NFL teams will begin their grueling five month battle to see who will
win the Lombardi Trophy, which got us here at STO thinking...
Out of all the legendary coaches to ever coach an NFL game, John Madden and Mike Ditka have to
be considered two legends at the top of the list.
According to press reports this evening, the Blue Square Premier has been unable to reach
agreement with the new boy in the British pay television market, ESPN. This comes as no great
surprise. For one thing, lower division football doesn't exactly fit in with the profile that the
nascent channel has built up over the last couple of months, a profile based upon top European

the way of mistakes rather than skill.

here in Scotland.Let's leave BBC Scotland out of this for just now (although a lot could be said,
right Chick?) and concentrate on the excuse for a modern broadcaster that is STV.With terrible
programmes and terrible presenters (I wouldn't wish an hour with Stephen Jardine on my worst enemy)
