We thought it would be worthwhile to talk to Brad Pursel, Major League Soccer's Vice President of
Club Services about the process of putting together the league schedule.
Major League Soccer and FOX Soccer announced that they have extended the network's national
broadcast rights agreement for one year. FOX Soccer has been a League partner since 2003.
FOX Soccer will broadcast up to 31 MLS regular-season games including seven Colorado Rapids
matches plus three exclusive MLS Cup Playoff matches including a Conference Final, all in high
definition.

Fox and Major League Soccer announced this morning they have completed a 1-year deal that will
see Fox Soccer Channel broadcast 31 regular-season games, plus three MLS Cup Playoff games and a
Conference Final. This will be the 8th consecutive year MLS games have have been broadcast on
FSC.
Major League Soccer announced on Friday that they will be releasing the full 2011 schedule on
Thursday, February 1oth.
"Assembling the schedule begins after MLS Cup and involves several interdependent factors
including competitive fairness, international competitions, stadium availability, broadcast windows
and club preferences," the league said in a statement on Friday.
Major League Soccer has announced that it plans to unveil the 2011 MLS regular-season schedule
next Thursday, Feb. 10.
