MLS's newest addition adds to their great atmosphere with a great showing of class in support of
keeping MLS's most successful club in it's home of Washington, DC.

While many of us have been frustrated in recent days over the planned broadcast of USA-Mexico on
mun2, the full story of why it ended up there is just now becoming known. MFUSA has learned that...
Once again, the Worldwide Leader in Sports has come through for U.S. fans. After much effort to
work the schedule, the USA-Costa Rica qualifier will be shown live on ESPN on June 3 at 10 p.m.
ET.
ESPN also announced the full broadcast for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. ESPN and ESPN2 will

step better, all the matches will be available in High Definition.
For those that love football and the need to vent, well good news.Steven Cohen and Kenny Hassan are
back with World Football daily. It is subscription based. But with all the news and events that have
happened,Eduardo's dive and Wengers response, Inter's drubbing of old and tired Milan.Roma's
inability along with Juve's rebirth.
Watch this interview with a local reporter (Jared Lloyd/Desert News) who covered this match. He
points out that the "refs allowed" for a "physical game" - and offers a well informed perspective
on the tone of the game (explaining New Mexico's use of a physical style of play to break up BYU's
movement up and down the field).
Gotta love when a little cable channel is hyping their big broadcast. I'm starting to get more
emails from NBC and mun2 about next week's game. Here's a cool clip with a few of the game's
stars.
Enjoy!
As the qualifier against Honduras nears, many fans are continually wondering where they'll be
able watch the game on TV. With just nine days left until the vital qualifier, it looks like this
is going to be one hard game to see.
The rights to the broadcast are owned by a Central American media company that is selling the
close circuit feed to certain bars and restaurants only.
We here at the Orange Card want everyone to be able to catch the big Confederations Cup game today

I try hard not to fall for unsubstantiated internet gossip. Seriously. But I've learned to trust
EPL Talk when it comes to anything English Premier League being broadcast on USA television
related. So if EPL Talk are reporting that ESPN will show two Prem games per week this season, then
there's a very good chance that [.
I love that Jozy leads of with calling Healy "buddy". It just takes all of the "aire" out of his
accent and kinda makes him seem a little less uppity. Tommy Smythe should do this at the top of
every broadcast just to keep him honest.
The final weekend is upon us. And with all the English Premier League fixtures kicking off at
the same time, the age-old question arises: where the hell do I watch my match?
Stateside, where I live and watch, three channels will show live games. Villa, Newcastle,
Sunderland, Chelsea, Hull and Manchester United fans need not worry.
DON'T DO THIS TO YOUR TV ON AUGUST 12th!
Head over to Match Fit USA and read Jason Davis' post about the nonsense surrounding the English
language broadcast on the US v. Mexico World Cup Qualififer...and sign the petition* as well!
Jason has been kind enough to explain the situation, tell you who you can contact to voice your
concern about this situation and even created a easy to use form email that you can send out.

Last time around it was John Harkes (right), now it's Alexi Lalas (left). For some ready Getty
doesn't allow this full file to be downloaded, but I think this preview image gets the point
across. This shot was taken after the 1999 season, which was Lalas' only year here in Kansas City.
He will be back tomorrow night, serving as the color commentator to play-by-play man Rob Stone on
ESPN2's broadcast of the 8 p.
How many of you watched the delayed broadcast of the Champions League match between Panama's
Arabe Unido and the Dynamo? It was quite the spectacle. I don't think I have ever seen a ref in
less control of a match.
This is the apparent strategy of the Panamanian side:
1. Play physical and bait opponent into retaliation.

Unless you are a die-hard New York Red Bulls fan or a San Jose Earthquakes fan, chances are you
missed their game last Saturday night, which means you probably didn't see Arturo Alvarez draw what
wound up being the match-winning penalty converted by Ryan Johnson.
... But Ireland got absolutely robbed in that game against France today. Thierry Henry with the
"main d'un dieu" to set up William Gallas's winning goal. Oh, and both players were offside to
start the play, too.In all honest, not pull pull a Sir Alex Ferguson, but that was arguably the
worst non-call I've ever seen.

ESPN has switched coverage of tonight's USA-Costa Rica World Cup qualifier to ESPN2 to avoid a
potential run-over by Major League Baseball's Boston Red Sox visiting the Detroit Tigers on ESPN
original recipe.
You may have heard there's a game tomorrow. It's kind of a big one. In light of this notable
occasion, we felt the need to ask the next generation of players what they think about the current

The United States defeated Honduras 2-0 last night on the strength of goals from Clarence Goodson

Like finding out on Christmas Eve that your parents did buy you that awesome present you
wanted, ESPN has announced on the eve of the English Premier League season that EPL games will
indeed be shown in the U.S. EPL Talk has the late-breaking story of tomorrow's opening day
broadcast of Chelsea and Hull City on the deuce.
See, this is what happens when you show a little hospitality. Chelsea offers up its training
ground in Cobham to Al-Ahli, even agrees to participate in a match with the Middle Eastern
club.
Their thanks? Pulling out the Ric Flair rake of the eyes on Gael Kakuta. Clotheslining Jeff
Bruma.
European champions FC Barcelona opened defense of its Spanish Primera championship on Monday
with a 3-0 win vs. Sporting Gijon. The convincing victory was made even more impressive by the fact
that the following players did not play for Barca: Lionel Messi, Thierry Henry and Andres
Iniesta.
Word is, Jermaine Jones is on Stuttgart's transfer radar. Pretty big news for a big-league player
that is just waiting for his chance to play with the U.S. men's national team.
Edgar Castillo is also anticipating his chance to play for the red, white and blue.
Sadly they're still waiting for FIFA clearance, which is ridiculous.
The USA-Honduras World Cup qualifier broadcast situation, which has gone well beyond the USA-Mexico
version on the debacle scale, is slowly resolving. Mediapro, the company that purchased the
rights...
Remember when a big, live concert broadcast was solely the domain of HBO and MTV? To quote Biggy,
"things done changed".
This Sunday night U2 will broadcast their show at Pasadena's Rose Bowl live and for free on Youtube
so if you didn't have the duckets, desire or luck to score tickets to the 360 Tour this is your
chance to "watch through the fence" so to speak.
By Graig Carbino - ALBANY, NY (Dec 4th, 2009) USSoccerPlayers -- Welcome to draw day. I'm on the
couch in full-anticipation mode so let's get this thing going already. Home Alone 2: Lost in New
York is on right now (if you don't like John Hughes then I cant help you), but in about an hour and
a half ESPN2 will open up the broadcast window and we'll finally get the groups aligned.
ESPN has confirmed that tonight's broadcast has moved from ESPN to ESPN2 and will include a 30
minute pre-game show from Bristol that gets underway at 9:30 p.m. ET. Kickoff is set for 10:06 p.m.
ET (8:06 p.m. local).
The change comes due to the Women's College (softball) World Series ending early (last night), and
will prevent conflicts with Wednesday Night Baseball on ESPN from running into the time slot of the
U.
You may have seen USA vs. Egypt early in last night's broadcast on ESPN's SportsCenter. If you

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez insists that captain Steven Gerrard has the full support of the
club.
The England international is currently on trial at Liverpool Crown Court on a charge of affray
following an incident at a Southport bar last December.
Gerrard is therefore absent from Liverpool's ongoing pre-season tour of the Far East, but Benitez
is confident his skipper will soon rejoin the rest of the squad.
Jimmy's head recently stopped bobbling after the nasty collision with Blas Perez of Panama.

At halftime of Saturday's FC Dallas v Colorado Rapids broadcast, sideline reporter Kelly Webster
interviewed FCD defender George John.
What followed was one of those classic strange local broadcast moments that typically find their
way on to the internet for all of us to laugh about.
In this case, we get a strange comment and an even stranger question from Kelly Webster.
It's Friday, so must be time for some shameless podcast related self-promotion. Taylor from Man Utd
Offside and myself have been hosting the Total Football Soccer Show on WRIR, and posting the show
as a podcast on Podcast Offside. This week's show (first broadcast on Thursday, October 22) was
completely lacking in professionalism.
Did you notice the stat ESPN gave about David Beckham on the MLS Cup broadcast last night? I sure
did. They noted that the Galaxy's goal differential was +10 when he was on the field during the
2009 season. The team as a whole was only +5, though I don't recall if the ESPN stat was for
regular season only or not.
