The fallout and reaction from Luis Suarez' handshake snub of Patrice Evra continues a couple of
days after the latest incident between the Liverpool striker and Manchester United fullback.
Suarez issued a brief written apology for not shaking Patrice Evra's hand prior to Liverpool's
loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday, but lingering tensions between the two camps
makes it unlikely that the situation is anything close to being put in the past.
Robin van Persie and his wife, Bouchra, were at Downing Street to meet British Prime Minister,
David Cameron earlier this week. Robin is the ambassador of football youth charity 'Street League',
which encourages education and football programmes for young people to develop skills they can
later use in the working world.

perception of a vast European superpower.

It is also sometimes colloquially used to cast doubt upon statistics used to prove an opponent's
point.
The term was popularised in the United States by Mark Twain who attributed it to the
19th-century British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli (1804–1881):

LONDON, England — A football club based near London's Olympic Stadium has written to British
Prime Minister David Cameron urging him to block West Ham's planned move into the venue after the
2012 games. West Ham has been named as the preferred bidder to take over the stadium, beating a
rival bid from Tottenham.
