1. At one point it appeared that this bloke had gone to get a topical t-shirt printed mid-match. 2.
Being played off the park at the Emirates must hurt Arsene Wenger far more than being kicked off
the park at the Britannia. 3. During commentary, Sky Sports' Martin Tyler said that Wenger was the

Just a quickie to keep you abreast of the fact that Peter Crouch has reportedly escaped a
three-game game ban and, indeed, will be allowed to get away scot free for his sneak-attack 'finger
of doom' eye-poke assault on West Brom centre-back Jonas Olsson's corneas at the Britannia at the
weekend a crime that would almost certainly land you with a six-match ban at the very least in a
game as uncivilised as rugby.
Following Sunday's disappointing result against West Bromwich Albion, there were two competing
narratives. On one hand there was a desire to integrate the match and result into one of the main
stories of the 2011-12 season—namely the one where Liverpool can't score even though they
dominate possession.

Stoke City 1-1 Everton Premier League 1st May 2012
Former Birmingham City hitman Cameron Jerome came off the bench to net an equaliser for Stoke at
the Britannia, in a game lacking much quality.
Spindly striker Peter Crouch had given the visiting Toffees the lead just before half-time when
he deflected a Tony Hibbert cross into his own goal.
Gerrard signed a new deal this week...Liverpool face Stoke at
Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League. After a winning performance at the Etihad in the League
Cup, the Reds are brimming with confidence. Interestingly, the last time visitors Stoke lost in the
league was at the Etihad, Pulis's boys are on a bit of a roll.

With Tottenham tied on points with Manchester United and City hitting a bump in form, the title
race is becoming more wide open, and in turn it leaves three teams three of the original Big Four,
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fighting it out for the fourth place.
After two successive cup games, Liverpool return to league action this Saturday with a home fixture
against Stoke City. The Reds have already met Tony Pulis` men on two occasions this season,
suffering a contentious 1-0 defeat at the Britannia...

Tried to replicate the formation from the 2-0 win against Stoke last season, starting with three
center-backs for the first time this season. Didn't work. Tried sending Carroll on for final thirty
minutes. Didn't work. Bellamy couldn't change matters either. Another disappointing, frustrating
draw at Anfield.
"I think I'm in danger of repeating myself here," said Kenny Dalglish when asked one question too
many about his team's failure to break down a stubborn Stoke City side.
Over 44,000 Liverpudlians might have thought something similar after seeing their team's seventh
draw in 11 league matches at Anfield this season.

Stoke City 1-2 West Bromwich Albion Premier League 21st January 2012
West Brom secured a vital three points away at a blustery Britannia against a Stoke side who
never really got into their stride.
As we enter February, the shortest month of the year (let me be the first to remind you that
this year February has 29 days), Valencia's coaching staff must think this is some kind of sick
joke. 8 games in 29 days. It's been done before, of course. But not quite like this. To start the
month, Valencia host Barcelona at the Mestalla in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.

Stoke lost 1-0 to Valencia in their Europa League last-32 first-leg tie at the Britannia, and
this was the booming Mehmet Topal goal that settled it...
WOOF! You don't get much top corner-er than that!

Stoke visit Anfield for the second time this season, with the two clubs facing each other for
the fourth time overall, this time for a chance to progress to a Wembley semi-final. While
Liverpool's form in domestic cup competition has been sparkling the League Cup's already been
secured and they've scored 13 goals in their three FA Cup wins Stoke hasn't hasn't been much worse,
and given the narrow finishes in their three previous fixtures this season, there's no reason to
think that tomorrow will be any different.
Wembley awaits...I feel sorry for all those Mother's of Liverpool
fans on Sunday because i predict a delivery of card and perhaps garage court flowers before a dash
to a television or Anfield for most of your sons and daughters. The Reds face Stoke in the FA Cup
and with the prospect of another trip to Wembley looming, everybody is excited for this one.

Yesterday, like two star-crossed lovers doomed by ill fate, tragic romantics Micah Richards and
Pablo Zabaleta took to the skies above the Britannia to steal a few brief moments alone
together...

The unveiling of the new Sir Alf Ramsey Stand at Portman Road yesterday, marked a special day of

Generations of Blues fans (and players) stood together to pay their respect to the team and manager
responsible for one of the proudest moments in our club's history.

A third trip to the Britannia in three seasons brought with it some mixed
emotions. The 2009/10 game was played in February, a month after being beaten by the Stokies in the
4th round of the FA Cup. Ramsey's leg snapped like a twig but the team responded magnificently to
record a fine 3-1 victory.

Recently, we were treated to a fine post from Chas filled with vids of the highlights of the
season. but what were the low points? I am not talking about on-pitch stuff (was Ewood worse than
OT?), No, I mean the off-pitch drama those things in football which are not the result of the
bounce of a ball.

What a sight it would be the buck-toothed Brazilian legend Ronaldinho lighting up Ewood Park on
a wet Tuesday night for Blackburn, or maybe playing in the hole behind Peter Crouch for Stoke at
the Britannia. All this and more could come to fruition, possibly, maybe.
