full week of World Cup qualifying last weekend and at mid-week, it is time to get back into the
club soccer swing of things.
The English Football League Cup or Carling Cup as its known continued its round 2 of matches on
Wednesday August 26, 2009. Most of the Premier League teams advanced including Tottenham and Stoke
City while Wigan fell 1-4 to Blackpool. Here's a recap of Wednesday's matches along with video
highlights.
American-born forward Jon-Paul Pittman scored the decisive goal in Wycombe Wanderer's 2-1
victory over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
Pittman, who entered the match at the hour mark, netted the game-winner in the 80th minute.
The 2-1 result gave Wycombe their first victory of the year.

Stevenage embark on another FA Cup journey this weekend as they travel up to Stoke to face
League 2 side Port Vale. This time last year we were preparing for another trip up the M1, that
time it was to Leicester, who comfortably beat us 3-0 at the Walkers Stadium. Now though, Boro are
a much improved and experienced team.
It's a light day of soccer/football on Friday, November 6, 2009. The German Bundesliga has their
typical Friday match along with matches in the English Championship and English FA Cup. These three
