One of the tricky parts of any new FF season is choosing players from promoted teams that could
represent good value. Established favourites like Cech, Lampard, Gerrard and Torres are always
going to score points and be selected by thousands of managers. But its the new squads that often
have the cheaper players that hit form early and whose value rockets as players jump on board the
bandwagon early - think of Geovanni's early success at Hull last season.
As I speculated here, about United's possible new kit and sponsors, upon my internet travels I
have found a leaked version of what is probably United's new away kit for next season. Wanna see
what it looks like? Wanna hear where it originates from? After the jump, bitch...
First of all, don't start thinking's it's some crappy Photoshop job because of the quality of
the photo.
It's another from the Daily Mail and printed in today's paper, but one thing makes sense, Bristol
City are looking for a big target man to replace Adebola. The other thing is that Cooper is
currently on the US Rooster...
I'm sorry, the ball didn't hit the back of the net hard enough One of the major talking points of
the weekend came in the Championship clash between Bristol City and Crystal Palace. Young striker
Freddie Sears, on loan at Palace from West Ham, scored a perfectly legitimate goal which hit the
stanchion and bounced out [.
Back in August 2008, Some People Are On The Pitch wrote one of its most popular articles ever. It
wasn't a lengthy thesis on the things we hate most about Cristiano Ronaldo, nor was it an online
poll asking you for your happiest memories involving Milton Keynes Dons. Somewhat surprisingly, it
was an article listing the kit manufacturers of each of the 92 Premier and Football League teams
for 2008/09.
Transfer campaign has hit the boiling point and many of the players from English lower tiers have
been in the heat over the past couple of days. Let's start chronologically, from our last briefing.
Firstly, Bristol City striker, Steve Brooker, has finally become a Doncaster member and Sean
O'Driscol's wish has finally come true.
Reports have surfaced this week linking FC Dallas forward Kenny Cooper with a move to Football
League Championship side Bristol City in England.
The same situation presented itself last season, when several European teams swooped for Cooper's
services during the summer transfer window.
A few updates on members of Les Rosbifs, some potential members and some who have appeared or
disappeared from the list in recent days. Some recent discoveries have originated from emails
received or through the good people on the SI Games community forums. An interesting case was
brought to my attention by Mike Crocombe via email, [.
Bristol City have released images of their home kit for next season and have done so in a way I'm
not certain I've seen before. Fan Edd Parsons (no relation, I don't think) had the new kit body
painted on...
Kofi Danning, and Sam Munro are off to Europe with the Under 20 Australian side.
Notice a heap of overseas joining them including maybe the pick of the bunch? Peter CVETANOVSKI
(Borussia Monchengladbach, Germany),
And will Kofi be back? You can be sure with games against Celtic, Ajax, PSV, Valencia and co it
won't be just the Aussie Coaches having a look will it.

Is Eddie Johnson ready to make a comeback?
No, the American striker hasn't been sidelined by injury, he has just managed to fall off the
U.
Football is much more than just a sport. It is nothing without its history and traditions, its
routine and habits, or its passion and drama. The sport establishes its roots over an area much
wider than the field of play, an art form which - across much of the world at least - has spilled
over to dominate mainstream culture.
Bristol City Football Club is one of two football league clubs in Bristol, England, (the other
being arch rivals Bristol Rovers). They play at Ashton Gate, located in the south-western portion
of the City. Gary Johnson has been the team's manager since 23 September 2005, succeeding Brian
Tinnion. They were promoted to the Coca-Cola Championship [.

Battersea Ironsides GSA, an amateur side signed off the internet, are losing talented players to
the Premier League just a year after being formed.
Plying their trade in the amateur leagues of the Southern Counties Division One, the
Wandsworth-based outfit have already lost one player to the Premier League, one to the
Championship, a player to League Two and one to non-league, just a year after recruiting them
straight off a barely-known internet website.
Almost a laughing matter.
A number of new additions have cropped up in recent days too, primarily in Scotland as I have
worked at ensuring the list is up-to-date for the four divisions north of the border. Someone who
has not been mentioned yet is new Celtic manager Tony Mowbray. The former Middlesbrough and Celtic
defender, who has previously [.
According to 3rd Degree sources, Kenny Cooper will be staying with FC Dallas this season and is
likely, at least at this point, to play out his current contract at Pizza Hut Park. There have been
two serious bids for Cooper this window; the first, as reported various places, was Bristol City
and the second, our sources say, was 1860 Munich.
Most people haven't attended a refereeing course, but we can only assume that Lesson One covers
what to do when a player hits the round thing between the two white posts – or maybe not if
Crystal Palace's recent trip to Bristol City is anything to go by.
It did not take long for the season to witness its first truly calamitous piece of refereeing, or
for those in favour of introducing technology to aid officials to re-issue their orders to drag the
game into the 21st century.
The English Football League Cup or Carling Cup as its known continued its round 2 of matches on
Wednesday August 26, 2009. Most of the Premier League teams advanced including Tottenham and Stoke
City while Wigan fell 1-4 to Blackpool. Here's a recap of Wednesday's matches along with video
highlights.
Paul Hartley's release from Celtic and subsequent signing for Bristol City meant I would need to
start paying more attention to the Football League. And in 5 matches, City have won 10 pts, putting
them 5th in the Championship division, and Hartley doing well a goal on debut for the Robins and 2
assists to see [.
The English Championship, League One, and League Two divisions are all taking shape as they are
well into their 2009-10 season. Here's a recap of all three divisions along with video
highlights.
English Championship Video Recap
Its still very crowded at the top as Newcastle, West Bromwich Albion, Cardiff City, and
Leicester City are all within one point of each other.
Among the performers who have lit up this burgeoning Championship campaign are some familiar names.
Michael Chopra has so far justified every last dime of his weighty fee, Kevin Nolan has buckled
down and rehabilitated his reputation as an all purpose midfielder-cum-forward, and Adam Johnson's
sleek skills on the Middlesbrough wing have helped Smogheads forget the injured Stewart Downing.
With Manchester United and Aston Villa joining most of the other Premier League clubs in the fourth
round, the FA Cup draw has cooked up some interesting draws. The pick of the bunch is perhaps the
Merseyside derby. Everton will be making the short trip to Anfield in the fourth round to take on
cross-town rivals Liverpool.
Just when the window opened, some interesting deals have already been made. First of all, we should
point out that teams that didn't do their job right this summer are now in the worst position.
Teams like Blackpool, Norwich or Charlton have all been looking to fill in the squad with loanies
and now, when [.

One of the players being heavily linked with a move to Newcastle United is former Newcastle United
player Bradley Orr. Bradley Orr - 26 year-old Bristol City right back But the Liverpool born Orr
never played for the first team at Newcastle and left for Bristol City on a free transfer in
2004. But Alan will know [.
FC Dallas has announced this morning that Kenny Cooper has been sold to German 2nd Division side
1860 Munich. As we reported two days ago the latest offers from 1860 and Bristol City for Cooper
had been rejected. Clearly something has changed and we'll endeavor to learn what changed. Some
German press has mentioned a fee of $3millon, but no one on this side of the pond has confirmed
that number.
Bristol City's want away winger Micheal McIndoe looks set for a transfer to Coventry City today,
the much traveled left winger was thought to be discussing terms during yesterdays 2-2 friendly
with Everton. Gary Johnson also expects a new shot...
Famed street artist, international man of mystery, and rumored Bristol City fan Banksy has his
hometown all excited not only for the ongoing exhibition at the City Museum and Gallery, but a new
work that showed up on the side of a pub close to Bristol City's Ashton Gate ground just days
before the club's first home match against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Big Story
It's a scenario goal-line technology advocates live for.
On Saturday, everyone believed Crystal Palace's Freddie Sears had made it 1-0 over Bristol City
in the 34th minute when his mid-air strike flew into the net and back out off the stanchion.
Everyone, save referee Rob Shoebridge and assistant Chris Knowles, who adjudged the ball to have
careened off the post.
If you think Major League Soccer has problems with officiating, consider England's Coca-Cola
Championship, where referee Rob Shoebridge inexplicably missed a clear goal for Crystal Palace
after a Freddy Sears shot went into the goal and bounced back out after hitting the bottom bar at
the back of the goal.

Newcastle United manager, Chris Hughton has picked up a second successive Championship 'Manager of

Newcastle United go into the international break three points clear at the top of the Coca Cola
Championship. That lead however could, and should, have been extended to six points today.
Bristol City goalkeeper Dean Gerken had an absolute blinder and had one of his upright's to
thank after Marlon Harewood shot against the post in the opening stages.
