Can you see how this conversation went at Bristol? 'Hey, which one is Oguchi Onyewu?' 'The
dark-skinned one with cornrows.' Who's posed more of a threat to US Soccer over the past couple of
days: Bryan Ruiz or ESPN? (Since changed.)

"ESPN networks will provide comprehensive studio news and information coverage of the 2010 FIFA
World Cup qualifying match featuring the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team vs. Mexico, Wednesday,
Aug. 12, from Azteca Stadium in Mexico City. The "game around the game" coverage will be
highlighted by a 30-minute SportsCenter 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Special on ESPN, Aug.
So who do we have to lace to make this a regular segment on Sportscenter? Oh, if only Jack Warner
had a job in Bristol instead of Manhattan.
Book Review: The Rivals Game by Douglas Beattie
If you've ever read Four Four Two's regular feature More Than A Game, then there's no doubt that
you'll love this book. For the premise behind it is similar: take two clubs where there's a derby
and look at what makes games between them particularly fierce.
ESPN's Wayne Dreys has spent the summer embedded with Bob Bradley's boys and has come back with
what for my money is one of the most forward-thinking chronicles of American soccer in a minute.
Packaging both the written word and an excellent multi-media gallery into an attractive, detailed
chronology, it's an intimate peek into all of this summer's card-sharkin' and ass-kickin' by the U.
MLS on Fox Soccer Channel: Toronto - Seattle at 3:30pm. EPL on Setanta: Blackburn Rovers - Spurs at

A charity match between Leeds Badgers and Bristol Academy to raise funds for a Meningitis trust
went on for 36 hours. The score at the end was 285-255.Since they had been playing for so long most
of the players couldn't remember which team had actually scored more goalsThey had to check on the
video evidence and logbook keepers to be really sure.
Miami will be part of the summer international soccer scene outside of the Gold Cup this summer.
Some of Europe's big stars and their Caribbean counterparts will convene there in order to raise
money for the development Haitian youth soccer.
Various stars from European leagues will be present including Barcelona defender and French
international Éric Abidal.
ESPN has confirmed that tonight's broadcast has moved from ESPN to ESPN2 and will include a 30
minute pre-game show from Bristol that gets underway at 9:30 p.m. ET. Kickoff is set for 10:06 p.m.
ET (8:06 p.m. local).
The change comes due to the Women's College (softball) World Series ending early (last night), and
will prevent conflicts with Wednesday Night Baseball on ESPN from running into the time slot of the
U.
The second of our articles to mark the First Round Proper of The FA Cup heads west to
Paulton, a village between Bath and Bristol tonight. This weekend, the village team, Paulton
Rovers, plays host to Norwich City in a live, televised match, but the club has already won
financially, at least.
About 10 cities will need to be chosen from a list of 15 including London, Manchester, Liverpool,
Birmingham, Leeds, Derby, Hull, Newcastle-Gateshead Nottingham, Plymouth, Leicester, Milton Keynes,
Sheffield, Sunderland and Bristol. The case will be made at Wembley today with the decision set to
be announced on the 16th of .
Stuff to read while you watch Barca score a very Barca-esque goal...... Lady Arshavin speaks, the
world listens. (Dirty Tackle) The shell that is Petr Cech. (guardian) Bristol Academy beat Leeds
Badgers 284-255. No really. (101 Great Goals) Why Wolves are the Obama of the Championship. (Wolves
Offside) Seattle player not charged with rape, which is nice.
We lined up unchanged from last week's heroics at Cardiff with Billy again playing McGoldrick as a
lone striker in front of a packed midfield. Campo Gunter Morgan Wilson Cohen McKenna (c) Moussi
Garner Majewski Anderson McGoldrick The game itself started with an impeccably observed minute's
silence for Remembrance Sunday today.
Big Nedved Junior and I filed into Twerton Park and made our way to a fairly crowded Popular Side
terrace. After tea and doughnuts had been purchased we made our way back to the area the singers
were congregating. There was no chance of the crowd reaching the size of the previous week's match
against Forest Green Rovers, but it was still obviously going to be well above average.
