'Ipswich Town are playing nice football, it's been a long time since we saw that'. I've lost count
of the number of times I've heard that phrase since Saturday!
Following the disappointment of having to come home from the Middlesbrough game after only half an
hour of football, I comforted myself with the fact that for those 37 minutes I was watching
something really nice on the pitch.
Goalkeepers in the women's game often get a hard time, but OTP can't understand why. Look at the
pinpoint distribution from Bristol Academy's Siobhan Chamberlain as she attempts to return the ball
to Everton's Jill Scott but instead nearly beheads a photographer during a photo-shoot for the FA.

After Grayson – A new dawning for our club? A solid 3-0 win for caretaker manager Redfearn at
Bristol sees him given at least the next three games in charge, before the board makes a managerial
decision. But with the club CEO on holiday and the chairman staying in Monaco as he has a cold (!),
no new managerial position was likely to be even looked at, let alone considered this week.

Southampton The Saints' rise under Nigel Adkins has been mightily impressive, and they are still in
a position to 'do a Norwich' and gain consecutive promotions up into the Premier League, but the
wheels have fallen off a touch recently. In fact, Southampton have won just of their last six
games, including defeats to Bristol [.

No es fácil. La búsqueda de talentos se afinó a tal grado que un puñado de minutos o jugadas
puede eyectar a pibes a alturas de vértigo que terminan por propia gravedad.

Forget getting fined £400,000 for refusing to come on as a sub á la Carlos Tevez, players in
the Bitton AFC reserves, a side who play in the Bristol Premier Combination League, have to endure
a fascistic rule of law...

This weekend's fixtures look like a pretty sedate set on the face of it. Leeds' terrestrially
televised trip across the shires to meet Burnley and what may be the most pathetic grudge in
history, Saints versus Seagulls, are worth keeping on the radar perhaps, but otherwise I can't help
but be drawn down the leagues to the two derbies west of Bristol.
With Colorado's victory over Columbus last night the MLS semifinals are set.
I'm jumping on a conference call with Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena (and others) at 9 a.m. so I'll
keep this brief.
But I wanted to note that Chivas USA fans won't be let entirely out in the cold when it comes to
the MLS playoffs: Alejandro Moreno will appear as an analyst for ESPN2 with host Max Bretos and
analyst Alexi Lalas in their Bristol studio for two doubleheader playoffs telecasts that begin at
noon Sunday with the New York Red Bulls-Galaxy first leg followed by the 3 p.
The FA Cup hasn't even reached the second qualifying round yet but already a second club in the
South West has been kicked out of the competition. Mangotsfield United, who play in the Southern
League Division One South and West, are already out thanks to player ruled ineligible due to a a
fine from a previous club, a fine which the club were not made aware of by either the player or
the Gloucestershire FA.
Two weeks is a very long time in football. Being a die-hard Ipswich Town fan, I got the train to
Bristol on the first day of the season. After a summer with no football, the expectation and
excitement of the new campaign kicking off was at an all time high. A Michael Chopra brace and

Michael Kelly was a quiet man. He loved the lyricism of Lennon, the urban poetry of Dylan and
Dalglish. Liverpool Football Club was his only hobby, his abiding passion. He worked nights in
Bristol, as a warehouseman, and watched every game, home and away.
Bristol woe for Reds ladies
Liverpool Ladies' forwards again failed to fire as they went down to a Jess Fishlock brace in a
feisty encounter with Bristol Academy at Skelmersdale on Sunday.

After the success of the Womens World Cup, the Womens Super League restarted last weekend after
a break, and the early signs seem to be, encouragingly, that the summer tournament in Germany might
have piqued the interest of quite a few in the domestic game in this country. Womens football in
Britain has benefitted significantly over the last couple of years from a £3m investment from the
Football Association, which led to the founding of the Womens Super League.
Has anyone else seen Fever Pitch? You know the scene when the couple are lying in bed and
she's trying to plan a holiday, but he won't. And she gets angry because the reason he won't is
that it might clash with an Arsenal game...
I realised this morning: that is me!
I've got loads planned for July.

Grace McCatty's stoppage-time goal earned Bristol Academy a 1-1 Women's Super League draw with
Liverpool.
The Reds took the lead through Michelle Evans' well-struck 20-yard half-volley on 42 minutes. But
the home side pressed their opponents in the second half and their equalizer came when McCatty's
low shot was deflected into the Liverpool net.
The FA is all about supporting grassroots football isn't it? Well not if you are Almondsbury

Almondsbury Town FC have been enjoying a great season. They are playing at the highest level in

With back to back United wins and two clean sheets in a row, Twiggs is a happy Leeds fan this week!
Several promotion contenders are spluttering and Leeds are on a GREAT undefeated run, so this
week's show is very hopeful for a third consecutive victory this weekend. Match report from a fan
