After giving up yet another lead, this time on the road at DC United, most FC Dallas fans should
have realized that 2008 is largely done. There will be no playoffs. There was the early exit to a
USL-1 club in the U.S. Open. Then there was the three freakin' coaches in one year and yet there is
Michael Hitchcock, smiling and smiling and looking as safe as a baby in a crib.
With apologies to Dan Patrick, what else can you say about a guy that has two goals and an assist
to douse the hated Chicago Fire and win the Brimstone Cup.
Desperately needing a win on the road Sunday afternoon at Chicago, FC Dallas put together a
comprehensive victory against the Fire. Two goals from Jeff Cunningham along with goals from Aaron
Pitchkolan and Bruno Guarda gave FC Dallas a crucial 4-1 win that keeps the Red Stripes in the hunt
for an MLS playoff berth.
