The Daily Mail today reports that Robinho was swanning off to Brazil whilst his new Man City
teammates were getting shamed by Brighton in the Carling Cup... The Mail reckons Sparky Hughes gave
his big-money signing special dispensation to leave, saying: Sportsmail understands that Robinho,
23, had been given permission by manager Mark .
Amid the frenzy surrounding Manchester City and the transfer of Robinho sending shockwaves through
the world, Glauber Berti was another Brazilian international travelling through the revolving doors
at Eastlands. The ‘one-cap wonder' arrives to strengthen Mark Hughes' defensive options.

The Carling Cup fourth-round draw took place Saturday, and Chelsea have to be pleased with the
outcome or are they? Our Blues will welcome Championship side Burnley to Stamford Bridge on
November 11 or 12.
We all remember how Chelsea fared against Barnsley in last year's FA Cup. Still, I don't think
this tie will be much of a problem.
Arsenal v Sheffield United; Brighton or Manchester City v Derby County; Burnley v Fulham;
Portsmouth v Chelsea; Blackburn v Everton; Rotherham v Southampton; Swansea v Cardiff City; Ipswich
v Wigan; Stoke City v Reading; Leeds v Hartlepool; Watford v West...
A few interesting third-round draws with Carling Cup holders Spurs away against a listless
Newcastle United squad. Also, Manchester City fresh off of their 6-0 thumping of Portsmouth travel
to Brighton and Hove Albion. Portsmouth attempt to rebound at home against Chelsea. Manchester
United host Middlesbrough and several reports state that Ronaldo is set to receive
more playing time as he comes back from ankle surgery.
The draw for the Carling Cup Fourth Round was made this afternoon and it has certainly not
disappointed. It has thrown up some mouth-watering ties which will be played the week commencing
10th of November.
The tie of the round is obviously the game to be played at White Hart Lane. Cup holders Tottenham
will entertain Rafa Benitez' Liverpool.
Defending-champ Tottenham (that's weird to say) drew Liverpool in perhaps the most intriguing
match-up.
A, your team's going down. QPR drew Manchester United.Man. United v. QPR Burnley v. Chelsea
