Marquette midfielder Bryan Ciesiulka helped set up a 90th-minute equalizer for the
Chicago Fire PDL team in a second-round match of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, but the Dayton Dutch
Lions scored in the final seconds of stoppage time to post a stunning 2-1 victory Tuesday night at
the Toyota Park Practice Field in Bridgeview, Ill.
The Croatian Eagles figure to make a few additions to their roster before facing the Chicago
Fire PDL team in a first-round match of the 99th Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup next Tuesday night in
Bridgeview, Ill.
As for the roster for the Fire's developmental team, it appears that not much likely will be
known until closer to gameday.
Bridgeview, Ill. (March 24, 2012) - On a windy and surprisingly cool evening at Toyota Park, the
Chicago Fire were able to put the pressure on the Philadelphia Union early, and then hang on for
their first win of the season.
Dominic Oduro scored for the Men in Red in the 27th minute off a cross from Marco Pappa for the
only goal of the match and Paolo Tornaghi made some crucial late saves as a Fire defeated the Union
1-0.

"The MLS Chicago Fire, which is based out of Bridgeview, has terminated its affiliation with and
sued a youth soccer league, claiming it failed to pay more than $35,000 for use of team trademarks,

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill.-- When the Chicago Fire and Columbus Crew squared off on Saturday night it was
the Crew that had everything to play for and the Fire just playing out the string. You wouldn't
have known it based on how both teams came out though, as the Fire completed a strong finish to the
2011 season with another victory while the Crew stumbled their way into the post-season.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill -- The Chicago Fire knew they couldn't afford anything less than a win on Sunday
afternoon and started the match like a team intent on securing all three points.
The Fire did just that after jumping out to an early 3-0 lead and fending off a late New England
rally to post a 3-2 victory at Toyota Park on Sunday afternoon.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill – After watching a two-goal lead in the second half disappear in the span of
two minutes, the Chicago Fire looked destined for yet another late-game disappointment. Dominic
Oduro had other plans however, as he and Patrick Nyarko combined to give Chicago a sorely-needed
win and the Fire continued hope of an improbable run at the playoffs.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill -- A stunning, left-footed free kick strike in the 62nd minute from Jorge Mora
was enough to pull Chivas Guadalajara past the Chicago Fire 1-0 in an international friendly on
Wednesday night at Toyota Park.
A blistering second half start was well rewarded for Chivas Guadalajara.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill -- After five years without lifting a trophy, the longest drought in the club's
14-year history, the Chicago Fire moved one step closer to giving their fans a new trophy to
celebrate.

The Chicago Fire are in last place no more in the MLS Eastern Conference, thanks to goals by
someone who is expected to score and someone else who is not.
In other words, it's likely to be a good day at Toyota Park when striker Dominic Oduro is flying
past his defenders and defender Dan Gargan, with one career goal, nets his second.
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. – The Chicago Fire broke their 10-game league winless streak Sunday night,
beating fellow Eastern Conference strugglers Toronto FC 2-0 in front of 12,020 at Toyota Park.
Chicago forward Dominic Oduro scored an early goal and former TFC defender Dan Gargan doubled
the advantage in the second half, giving the Fire their first win since June 12th and just their
third of the season.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Fire outshot them, hit two posts, and had the ball in their attacking
third for much of the game.
But for the Portland Timbers, who beat Chicago 1-0 Saturday at Toyota Park, it felt great just to
get a road win.
While it wasn't necessarily pretty, Jack Jewsbury was upbeat after the Timbers' first road victory
in eight tries snapped their seven-game unbeaten streak.
The Portland Timbers come into Toyota Park on a downfall from a once mighty rise. Portland's
victory over the Fire back in April launched the Timbers' 5 game home winning streak that prompted
JELD-WEN Field to be called a fortress. Between April 1st and May 21st, Portland went 5-1-2 and
even took a draw from Seattle on the road.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- New York Red Bulls manager Hans Backe just didn't seem to care about the
U.S. Open Cup – at least not on Tuesday, when his team played the Chicago Fire in its fourth of
nine games in July.
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - Chicago Fire forwards Cristian Nazarit and Orr Barouch starred in Tuesday's
5-0 reserve league win over FC Dallas, with Nazarit scoring a hat trick and Barouch bagging a brace
in the romp at the Toyota Park practice field.
While the goals didn't come against first-team competition, they were still important for the
young strikers, who are both looking to rebuild their confidence following lengthy goal-less
streaks.
Keel and Mendes Make a Final Triumphant AppearanceOne win in 10. Sinking in the weak Eastern
Conference. Killing itself with mental errors like no other team in MLS. Those are the stark facts
after the Red Bulls 1-1 draw Sunday in Chicago. Hans Backe made the right move of starting Bouna
Condoul over Greg Sutton in goal but it still backfired on him spectacularly, as Bouna somehow let
a Marco Pappa bouncer get past him for Chicago's second half equalizer.
Welcome to the New England Revolution vs. Chicago Fire live game thread! Tonight will be the
Revs' third match in seven days and their second straight at home before a cross-country trip to
Qwest Field next weekend. The Revolution targeted six points from this home stand but will need a
win here to salvage four over that two-game span.
The New England Revolution will wrap up their two-match home stand on Saturday against their
bitter rivals the Chicago Fire in an encounter that is shaping up to be a basement brawl. Chicago
has had a miserable season thus far and currently sits even with the Revolution on points in a tie
for second-to-last place in the Eastern Conference.
Two teams with one win a piece after a combined 21 games played isn't exactly a marquee match up
but a national audience will get to see the opening of another soccer specific stadium in Kansas
City's Livestrong Sporting Park. It seems that every new stadium opening in MLS is more impressive
than the last, which is something that will serve the league well in general audience perception
for national broadcasts.
The Milwaukee Bavarians gained an extra home match in National Premier Soccer League play, and
made the most of the situation.
UW-Parkside's Cyril Simmons and Marquette's Amilcar Herrera
(Milwaukee Riverside) scored as the Bavarians beat the Chicago Fire 2-1 in front of a good crowd in
Glendale to remain perfect in Midwest Division play.
Hey there.
I know a lot of you are already leaving this team for dead and saying crazy stuff like "need a
win to resurrect their playoff chances", "we should trade Nyarko" and "what about firing the
coach?". Obviously everything is carved in stone right now. The results of 26 more games are clear
and definitive and not covered in the fog of flares.
Hi!
It is game day so I thought I should check in with a detailed recap of last week's game. I feel
this team is very close to being a good side. Some things need to get cleaned up, a couple of guys
need not be involved in the rotation anymore and patience needs to be exercised by the fan
base.
Today's match-up between the Galaxy and the expansion Portland Timbers is a tale of four teams
and the question is which two are going to show up.
On the one hand we have an expansion franchise (though not completely new the Timbers have
played quality futbol as part of the old USL-1 and other domestic leagues for years) which got a
point out of its first four games and then exploded at home for six points and seven gols.
To say that the Chicago Fire has undergone a roster turnover heading into the 2011 MLS season
would be to make a strong understatement. Gone from Toyota park is Fire mainstay C.J. Brown, local
hero Brian McBride, ticket sellers Nery Castillo and Freddie Ljungberg, the dynamic Wilman Conde,
the versatile-but-injured John Thorrington and the untapped potential of Collins John.
Media Day at the Bridgeview Sportsdome featured the full current roster in training with the
exception of the two mystery international strikers, Deris Umanzor who has been loaned to Aguila in
El Salvador, and Steve Kinney and Mike Banner who are recovering from injuries.
Carlos De Los Cobos and Frank Klopas addressed the media after training.
