After posting last week that Romelu Lukaku is one of the five players Roman Abramovich is believed
to want to bring to Chelsea this summer, Romelu Lukaku has once again re-iterated his wish to play
for Chelsea.
As featured in the Daily Mail, Lukaku appearing at a sponsors event in Belgium, was handed a list
of questions to fill out and when he came across the question "What is your dream?

Bit of an update to the rumblings we bought you this morning, with the news that Andre
Villas-Boas has (very nearly) resigned from his post at Porto and is almost certain to take up the
reigns at Chelsea before the week is out.
Porto have released the following statement:
"Porto were notified of the intention of Andre Villas-Boas to resign from his contract with the
club by triggering the release clause (€15 million) immediately.
As we all know, Ramires won goal of the season last night for his goal against Man City at the
Bridge.
I stumbled across this video put together a couple of days ago and thought it would be worth
posting.
Enjoy

Anvilbo heads for the Bridge Porto coach Andre Villas-Boas has resigned from his post ahead of his
move to Chelsea. The Blues have agreed to trigger the £13.2m release clause in his contract at the
Portuguese club, but Porto claim they have not yet received an official financial offer. The
33-year-old is now reported to [.
I haven't had the chance to gauge the general sentiment of the fans about the transfer of Clichy
to Man City so I will just share my views. I think this transfer is good for all concerned.
From the player's point of view, this move will give him a fresh start in a completely different
environment where he will get much better defensive support than he did at Arsenal in the last
three years.
Last week Marcel Desailly gave an interview about AVB coming into the club and I chose not to blog
about it as I am getting bored of Desailly giving his "opinions" on Chelsea as he seems to blow hot
and cold all the time. He is someone that at times winds me up with his views on life at the Bridge
so I chose not to blog about his latest "offering" to the media.
Since April 10th we have lost 5 and drawn 3 games away from home, a dismal and painful run of
games that has seen our defence and confidence take knock after knock.
The abject display in August at Old Trafford saw a very humbling score line result in cries for
Wenger to walk now, before we fell apart at the seams was the cry of the naysayer's.
Just when there seems to be growing pressure on Carlo Ancelotti once more after a run of three
disappointing results against Liverpool, Fulham and Everton, Jose Mourinho has (once again) made a
comment about Chelsea that has added to speculation further.
Featured in an interview for SkySports' "Revista de la liga" when asked if he intends to see out
the remainder of his contract at Madrid after reports of a rift at the club he said:
"I don't know.
There is plenty of rumour and speculation about Jose Mourinho's return to the Premier League at the
moment in addition to rumours of Carlo Ancelotti's future. This morning in the SUN, they are
running an article stating that Jose has decided to return to the Premier League as early as next
season which could trigger a bidding war amongst the top clubs for his services.
We all know that Sunday is a massive game against City. We all know that we sit 9 points behind
United with a game in hand and we all know it will take some doing to catch both United and Arsenal
before the end of the season. However, there are signs that the tide could be turning with news of
United and Arsenal's injury problems that could really affect their seasons.
Frank Lampard spoke after the West Ham game of Fernando Torres and his first goal for Chelsea and
believes it will be the start of something special at Chelsea. After coming to Chelsea himself for
big money back then, he understands the pressure Torres had been under but has been impressed with
Torres' attitude while searching for his first goal.
I think all of us have been left tonight with the same feeling about the game today. The feeling we
have is that it's typical of our season. We made a great start, suffered a dodgy patch through the
middle of the game, got ourselves together and back in the running towards the end but let it slip
in the final moments!
It may be time to start getting used to seeing this man on the bench, my fellow Blues:
Porto have confirmed that Villas-Boas has resigned from his position at the club, paving the way
for Chelsea (or Inter) to make a move for the 33-year-old (he's the same age as Didier Drogba and
Frank Lampard).
Morning all, a quick Saturday round-up for you.
As the police continue the hunt for Cesc Fabregas after his ruthless kidnapping (they're still
none the wiser as to where he might be), we've just got to hope they do their job and get on with
all the other stuff in the meantime. I'm assuming Sky News are on this 24/7.
As soccer fans, we often assume that players have it all. However when I asked Sam Craven what
motivated him and business partner Lance Stimpson to set up ‘Sports Academy USA,' he told me "I
just wanted more from life." Up until recently Craven had been plying his trade with FC New York,
but now back in England along with Lance, they aim to give the same opportunity they had to
talented British players wanting more.
I think it's fair to say that a fair few people on here who comment are becoming frustrated with
the selection of the team or should I say certain players week in, week out. They feel as though
these players are being selected based on who they are within the squad rather than their current
form. All I say in response to that is that we have only played three games so far, have made new
signings and the future looks alot brighter than it did a few weeks ago.

Why Chelsea may be a Bridge too far for Cahill
Gary Cahill is set to go to Chelsea in January. But I'm not sure if he will be able to cope at
the highest level in the Champions League and at a top-four team. Just look at
Yakubu's goal for Blackburn against Bolton the other night to see proof of that.
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti's job is on the line after seen his team
drawing 3-3 at home to EPL strugglers Aston Villa after late
drama at the Bridge.
Swearing fun at the Bridge If Roman Abramovich thought ditching Ray Wilkins would give his bench a
friendlier appearance, he had accounted for Aston Villa's late equaliser in the 3-3 draw on Sunday.
Even the members of the supposedly fairer sex were giving the Blues' dugout a rough look at the end
of the match.
We all have had an opinion lately about who should and shouldn't be playing, who's been under
performing etc. So I am asking you the Chelsea fans to take a look at my selection and give your
views on the side you would pick and believe needs to start the game on Sunday.
Now before we consider our options we need to be aware that Ipswich have just sacked Roy Keane and
have injury problems.
If this game was taking place two months ago I think it's fair to say we would walk this game and
that is no disrespect to Ipswich in any way at all, in fact I think even their own fans would dread
the thought of taking on Chelsea.
However, it's a no lose situation for the Tractor Boys and it's Chelsea they have EVERYTHING to
lose today as we start our defence of the FA CUP.
Now I couldn't get to Chelsea to watch the game yesterday so decided to try and catch it on the
Internet and couldn't find it anywhere so had to rely on the BBC Website for their live news
updates. Nothing worse than not being at the game and just my luck we score seven!. I had to settle
for the highlights of the game (which were just the goals) on ITV late last night.
Now it may be complete rubbish and just word of mouth that has turned into Chinese Whispers, but
there is a rumour that is going around that Roman Abramovich will cut his ties with Chelsea and
sell up at the end of the season and look to re-invest his money in Zenit St Petersburg in
Russia.
Well all know and have seen Roman's commitment and joy at Russia being awarded the World Cup, and
it would make sense for him to look to be far more involved there but I just wonder if this really
is the case and he will sell.
In the Daily Mail is the continued rumours that involve Chelsea's reported interest in Benfica's
Brazilian Defender, David Luiz. We all know that Chelsea offered Benfica some money deemed
unacceptable by the Portuguese side, but it's believed that Chelsea are still in the hunt for the
player.
Now, if reports are to believed, Chelsea are prepared to offer around £21m for the player and in
addition Chelsea right back Paulo Ferreira who is valued at around £4m, taking the total fee to be
around £25m.
This article in the Star this morning quoted a "source" close to the player himself more or less
confirms what we all have been thinking about Chelsea's transfer policy as it stands these days.
Carlo doesn't really have a say.
This so called "source" is quoted as saying:
When Steven met Ancelotti he said very little and did not seem that bothered if he
signed or not.
Am I the only Chelsea fan around that calls to question a loan agreement between Chelsea and Fulham
for Gael Kakuta??. Firstly I can see from Mark Hughes and Fulham's point of view the reason as to
why they want to take him to the Cottage. Let's hold our hands up and be honest, he would probably
play more football there then he would at the Bridge.
With Chelsea's reported move for a more experienced Centre Half to finally replace Ricardo
Carvalho, it seems that the club is looking to allow the most promising youngsters to continue to
learn their trade playing at the highest level in a move that I personally agree with. In light of
the moves for new players, it's being reported here that Newcastle are seeking a loan agreement for
Jeffrey Bruma.
There are strong rumours surrounding Danny Sturridge. We have seen reports that he could be used as
part of an exchange deal for Fernando Torres but I have to say I am not sure that Chelsea would be
happy to let him go just yet. A report has appeared here stating that after losing out on Carlos
Vela to West Brom, Bolton boss Owen Coyle is interested in taking Sturridge on loan after Chelsea
have indicated that they are ready to let him go for the remainder of the season.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle was more than happy to grab Danny Sturridge on loan from Chelsea until the
end of the season and explained what he thought of the capture. He said:
"I'm absolutely delighted to bring Daniel to the football club until the end of the
season. When we were made aware that there was a chance he'd be allowed out on loan then we
certainly tried to do everything we could to convince him that this would be the best place for
him.
Chelsea may not have fully overcome the chinks in their armour that threatened to derail their
assault on multiple trophies and titles this season, with defensive lapses still a feature of their
game against Sunderland earlier this week, but the signs are that the Blues' slump is coming to a
timely end.
So gradually the dust is beginning to settle down after the events at the beginning of the week.
Carlo Ancelotti has a new headache and this time it's a good one. Fernando Torres is fit and raring
to go in what he calls "destiny" against his old club and I am sure there are one or two Liverpool
fans fearing the worst at the Bridge.
Will he kiss this badge?
Wrong day for The Shin Guardian to be working on a Saturday.
Dempsey with a bucket, Arsenal leak four to "earn" a draw. Mighty Unitey chewed up by
Wolves.
Sunday we'll be firmly planted before American footie.
Early on West Ham vs. Brum and Celtic vs.
One thing that I do find hard to believe is people having a pop at Carlo Ancelotti about the game
against Liverpool last Sunday. People have been talking about a lack of ideas, being out classed by
Liverpool, being outwitted by Steve Clark and Kenny Dalglish and not having any answer to the
problems we were facing during the game.
There are rumours rife yesterday that Bolton have opened negotiations with Chelsea to extend the
loan of Danny Sturridge beyond the end of this season and for the whole of next season. With the
start he has made there and with Owen Coyle as a massive fan of his, it looks as though faced with
Johan Elmander's contract expiring in the summer, that Bolton would want to tie Sturridge to the
Reebok for another season.
It's just a couple of days away now and I am wondering how you all feel or are beginning to feel
about our cup replay at the Bridge against Everton. We have to remember that Fernando Torres is
cup-tied for the game but David Luiz can play.
So I am wondering how Carlo will approach the game?

There is little doubt that the game tomorrow is massive. Let's hold our hands up and be honest
here, Chelsea were woeful at Goodison in the first game and lucky that Kalou was able to come on
and nick a goal to bring us back to the Bridge for another chance. Chelsea never looked like
scoring and Everton were the better side.
Carlo Ancelotti has never hidden away from his affection for Roma and with Claudio Ranieri stepping
down from his position at the club yesterday, everyone is expecting an approach to be made for our
manager. The question remains on whether or not Carlo Ancelotti would entertain leaving Chelsea.
Carlo Ancelotti has played down talk of Chelsea being back in the title race after we cut our
points deficit down to just nine with a game in hand after beating Blackpool the other night(Check
out the latest football betting and title odds here). United have their injury problems, Arsenal
seem to be stuttering and with City and Spurs to come to the Bridge with a trip to Old Trafford I
just wonder if we are right back in it!
