This week Andrea Canales got the US faithful abuzz with a nice article on a potential Landon
Donovan return to Europe. Your faithful vagabond has been sniffing about this week checking on the
possibility that Landon Donovan has attracted interest from Bundesliga power Bayern Munich. So far
the results indicate that people have taken Andrea's speculation and twisted it into something it
is not; a rumor.
The England manager, Fabio Capello has just announced his England squad as follows: England squad
to play Andorra and Croatia: Robinson (Blackburn), James (Portsmouth), Green (West Ham); Lescott
(Everton), Bridge (Chelsea), A Cole (Chelsea), Terry (Chelsea), Brown (Manchester United),
Ferdinand (Manchester United), Johnson (Portsmouth), Upson (West Ham); Barry (Aston Villa), J Cole
(Chelsea), Lampard (Chelsea), Bullard (Fulham), [.
A biker was riding along a California beach when suddenly the sky clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, ' Because you have TRIED to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.'
The biker pulled over and said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want.
Surely the Blues must realise that they can't land players on the cheap, especially as their
reputation for having a bottom-less pot of cash has preceded them for several years. Chelsea have
spent all summer trying to land high-profile targets, although the only player that fits that
description to have arrived at the Bridge is [.
Almost ten years after his debut in Oranje Ruud van Nistelrooy decided to stop as international.
The 32 year old striker wants to focus fully on his career with Real Madrid. He already told new
team manager Bert van Marwijk that the WC2010 is a bridge too far. Van Nistelrooy said
Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna has surely had better days than yesterday, when he was merrily
driving along only for his car to plunge off a bridge. Fortunately the car took the brunt of the
damage, as you can clearly see, and Angelo will be just fine. Buckle ya seat belt. (Corrierre)
If Frank Lampard does indeed leave Chelsea for Inter Milan, it doesn't look he'll go without
burning a bridge, so to speak. 'What you should read' is a (hopefully) daily post to help 'The
Other Football' readers locate interesting reading...
Look who's nearly come crawling back at the Bridge. It seemed as though one of the most nailed-on
Premier League departees would be taking place at Chelsea this summer, with Didier Drogba grumbling
all-season long about how affected he was by Jose Mourinho's exit from the club, and how he ...
Hmmm. Just watched the highlights of the Sydney v Roar match (SBS TV Sunday afternoon - free TV). I
know people don't put much stake in this cup, but it is important for clubs selling their season
tickets.
The Roar outplayed Sydney. As Ed said, we are used to smash and grab after dominating.
I don't care what anyone else has to say, we were superb yesterday. A few players didn't pull their
weight as usual but the ones that did, really did.
I am surprised to say this but Zokora was top drawer, he seriously impressed me. He looks like the
player I saw 2 and a half years ago. I never thought I'd say this but I'm delighted he's signed a
new deal.
I had a draft of the game ready but somehow lost it. I will rewrite the match report during the
day, hopefully. Till then feel free to continue your discussion. In short, I'll say this: it's a
point earned at the Bridge, but it's also a case of what might have been had we held on [...]
It was such a wonderful experience to wake up this morning and find out that there are plenty of
people who can think in the 3rd Congressional District and do not like getting constantly lied to.
It was great to see Chris Cannon lose his primary, especially after his blatant lies about Chaffetz
not living in the district (he would not be even eligible to run if he didn't live there) and even
after being confronted about the lies, not backing off of them.

I really shouldn't further the CR7-to-LA speculation but if this is the worst thing I do all day
you gotta give me a pass. I wouldn't put it past LA to try and bring him in after Becks leaves, but
I'd much prefer New York making a move to get him (and a few of the thousands of Portuguese who
live across the bridge in The Ironbound) into Red Bull Park.
Hamburg coach Martin Jol always seemed a cool head. Sure, he looks like a movie character that
would throw you off a bridge for looking at him sideways and you could always see his mind moving,
but external reactions were a bit muted. This past week, he apparently snapped. This past week, he
metaphorically pushed Vincent Kompany down those stairs in an odd snit.
Firstly, I'm more than happy with Pavlyuchenko for around £12m. He's more of an out and out
striker than Arshavin and while he's not as technically gifted, for half Arshavin's fee it's got to
be good business. After all, how different can they be, they are both Russian!
The deal hasn't been formally announced by us yet but it sounds like a goer.
