The Bears opened strong Friday evening, coming off of their Tournament win at New Mexico last week.
Attacking with verve, they wasted no time exploiting the first opportunity to present itself.
I haven't done this justice folks, as my regular readers know I've had a few ... distractions.
The good news is that gives me plenty of content for the coming month leading up to the girls high
school season. So we'll start with a list of known commitments and in the coming days and weeks,
I'll be providing more detail on the individual players.
Missouri State Bears - 1
Western Michigan Broncos - 0
Senior Allison Osmundson netted the game-winning goal at the 61:38 minute mark in the second-half
to give Missouri State their second win on the weekend. The Bears improved their record to 5-3-1 on
the season.
A total of 11 soccer players have signed letters-of-intent with Missouri Southern.
Kevin Aubuchon, a senior at St. Mary???s High School in St. Louis, is the lone men???s signee.
He led the Dragons in scoring his senior year, earned first team all-conference honors the last two
years and was a third team all-metro selection.
Springfield Catholic - 8
Willard Tigers - 0
Catholic got goals from seven players in earning the win.
Bolivar Liberators - 3 (2 OT's)
West Plains Zizzers - 2
The winning goal was scored in the 25th minute of overtime, giving the Liberators wins over the
Zizzer's.
Southwest Baptist Bearcats won both of their MIAA matches this weekend. On
Thursday they traveled to Emporia State where they won 3-1.
On Saturday, they went to Joplin where they dismantled the MSSU Lions, 6- 1. SBU's Rhiane
Mitchell, who entered the week at the very top of the NCAA's points and goals leader board, scored
three goals and recorded one assist.
Glendale Falcons - 2
Lebanon Yellowjackets - 0
In a tight game, worthy of a District Final, it was the Falcon's full-court press that ultimately
made the biggest difference. Scoreless at halftime, Glendale finally penetrated the Yellowjackets
defense in the 48th minute when sophomore Lindsey Sprouse was able to beat a defender and break
down the left hand side into the corner.
Parkview Vikings - 4
Central Bulldogs - 1
Goals for the Vikings were scored by Emmy Dale assisted by Kelsey Loderhose, Stephanie Wilson
(assisted by ?), Emmy Dale assisted by Kelsey Loderhose, Emmy Dale (unassisted). Senior Becca
Carter scored for the Bulldogs.

500th win as his Lady Tigers held off the Irish in earning the win.

cross-country program, and she qualified for State as a junior and a senior as the team also

The delayed 9:00 pm start of this game coincided with the onset of a steady frigid rain that lasted
the entire first half.

Texas Woman's - 2
Theresa Sanches scored the tie-breaking goal on a penalty kick in the 57th minute to propel the
Texas Woman's Pioneers to the win. The score came just seven minutes after the Lions (2-1) evened
the match on a Sarah Evers goal from 10 yards out.
