The Trouble With Rangers

It seems that whenever I write an article for this site it's about one of two things; Scottish football's decline or uprising. No prizes for guessing which one this falls under, with the issues surrounding that of Rangers dominating the back pages north of the border for most of the past few weeks.

For this weeks offering I thought we would re-visit one of the all time great sides. AC Milan, under the guidance of a certain Fabio Capello, swept all before them in the early 90s. That included an emphatic Champions League win over Barcelona at the Olympic Stadium in Athens on May 18 1994, a game which is often considered to be one of the greatest ever performances by a side in the Champions League. En esta sección incluiremos a jugadores de zona de definición, arietes cuya característica principal es la potencia para reventar esquemas, parados y aparatos defensivos, tal es el caso de Preben Elkjaer Larsen, portentoso danés con todas los atributos de un ariete pero con dribling de extremo, del cuál a veces exageraba provocando la desesperación de compañeros y la rabia de los contrarios, además buscaba picar al espacio para encarrerase y era muy difícil pararlo inclusive a base de hachazos o segadoras.
