US goalkeeper Brad Friedel leads all EPL goalkeepers in save percentage in the 2009/10 season.

2. Marcus Hahnemann, Wolverhampton Wanderers - 80% of 128

Steven Gerrard's second-half brace and further goals from Maxi Rodriguez and Ryan Babel relegated
Burnley and kept Liverpool's top-four hopes alive.
Gerrard's first deflected off Burnley defender Leon Cort past Brian Jensen but his second was a
fine first-time curling strike from 25-yards out.
SHORT SCRIBE OF THE MATCH
One thing I know for sure, many of the 5,000 odd crowds at the Jalan Besar Stadium were first-timer
(judging from the way they asked for the direction, the ignorance of banning water-bottles and
drink cans on the match day).
And one more particular sight of the night was the sizable "Man Utd" supporters turned out to
support the local team, which I thought was a pleasant sight (although, I came to realize it was
because the Red Devils were once defeated by the Clarets which they would love to see the Singapore
side avenge for their beloved team).
Manchester Utd 3-0 Burnley: Observations
At least there's three points in the bag. Not vintage Manchester United but an improvement from
last week's performance against Birmingham. Wayne Rooney had once again led from the front, no
surprise, as he does that week in week out.
In which we discuss Fabregas, Aston Villa and their upcoming double match week, and look at keeper
choices for the remainder of the season. [07:41] JSpitzberg: good morning [07:42] Neal J Thurman:
and to you [07:44] JSpitzberg: Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could face an FA investigation
after he appeared to flash a V-sign at referee Andre Marriner.
It has been a pretty good weekend for all Scandinavians on the continent, although those who
managed to take their heads out of their own or in a weird case other peoples behinds suffered
different emotions, just ask Johan Elmander and Brian Jensen.
Swede Elmander finally broke his scoring duct by putting Bolton Wanderers one nil up against
local rivals Wigan Athletic.
Six Scandinavians found their way onto the scoresheet with some crucial goals this weekend,
while another saw six goals fly by him in a match he will have nightmares about for years to
come.
Nicklas Bendtner stole the show and the headlines as his 94th minute winner against Wolves
dragged Arsenal back into the Premier League title race, coinciding with Chelsea beating leaders
Manchester United to move top.
Football action is really hotting up as the season draws to a close in Europe`s top leagues.
This weekend saw some really unexpected cup shocks and twists at both ends of the relative
tables.
Both Christian Eriksen and Dennis Rommedahl made substitute appearances as Ajax crushed VVV
Venlo 7-0 at the Amsterdam Arena.

The Temperature is truly reaching boiling point as confirmation of both winners and losers on
the continent is steadily becoming apparent. Title chasing sides slip up , teams avoid relegation,
others are not as lucky , and one team takes a steady advantage into the second league of a major
cup final, all in a good weekend`s work.
What a breathtaking weekend it has been across Europe, with the final day drama taking place in
many countries. For some, their faith was already sealed, but for others it went down to the wire
as they strived to gain success.
Kenneth Perez scored five goals this term as his FC Twente side won their first ever Eredivisie
title under the guidance of Steve McClaren.
It was nearly one year ago when Burnley won promotion at Wembley with that stunning goal from
Wade Elliott. Burnley fans had flags with the words 'Owen Coyle is God' proudly displayed. They had
got to the Carling Cup semi-final with some impressive results and they were playing like a
Premiership team!
It's not just league football the Nordics play during the summer some of them are even going
to the World Cup! Glenn Dowd runs the rule over the squad going to South Africa to represent the
good Queen Margrethe II, lots of angry cartoonists, and the world's unfinished-sandwich producing
community.
Following on from the emotional rollercoastering that was done for the pre-season review,
here's another rollercoaster for the months of August-September. All incidents mentioned are
completely true and I don't care if the Gooner thinks otherwise.
The season opened with the sort of game that we used to close out the season last year All those
1-0s which made our near-draws to wins and 1 points to 3 points.
The goalkeeper plays an obvious but integral role in any football squad. And their presence in
your fantasy side is no different. But, is picking a goalkeeper as easy as picking the
man-between-the-sticks from the previous season's champions? Or is it just a lucky break that your
selection has a random, breakout season?
We wondered yesterday if sending Fraser Forster to Burnley was already a done deal. Fraser Forster
not a done deal at Burnley yet It was interesting because Burnley have Dane Brian Jensen in goal,
and he has played over 250 games for the club, and Fraser would have had a fight on his [...]
Burnley came up from the Championship last season via the play-offs and rightly didn't go crazy
bringing in new players before predictably heading back down to the Championship without too many
heading for the exit. They were soundly beaten 4-0 at home by Reading last weekend, two of the
starting line-up Brian Jensen and Tyrone Mears started every Premiership game the season before and
five others had at least a dozen Premiership starts under their belts.
