Ah, a 6–2 road win. So, how was your weekend?
Not so good for Toronto coach Aron Winter and goalkeeper Stefan Frei. "We were humiliated," said
Winter. "When my first touch is getting the ball from the back of the net, that's not good," said
Frei.
The Philadelphia Union traveled to Exeter's Don Thomas Stadium Tuesday night for a friendly
against its PDL affiliate Reading United AC. The temperature hovered around the high 80s
throughout the night, but that did not stop a crowd of over 1,300 from cheering on Reading and the
Union. Aside from the opportunity to see an MLS team compete against one of the nation's best PDL
teams in close proximity, the friendly also provided a chance for both teams to broaden their
respective fan bases.

Heading into its road game against No. 2 Maryland, Creighton was the definition of perfection.
The fourth-ranked Bluejays were a perfect 8-0 on the season and had yet to surrender a goal.
Casey Townsend changed all that on Friday night.
University of Wisconsin forward Chris Prince became just the second player to score
against Creighton this season, but the fifth-ranked Bluejays equalized minutes later and beat the
Badgers 2-1 on midfielder Greg Jordan's 35-yard shot in the 94th minute Wednesday night at
the McClimon Complex.

The National Championship is headed back to North Carolina in one way or another.
It was a long yet dramatic night in Hoover, Alabama as both UNC and Charlotte booked their place
in the final with the help of penalty kicks. Charlotte was never able to break down Creighton's
record-breaking defense but were vastly superior in the penalty kick shootout that followed a dull
0-0 draw.
The Hermann Trophy finalists were announced Friday, and two of the three finalists are Reading
United AC alumni: forwards Andrew Wenger of Duke and Billy Schuler of North Carolina. Both are
juniors who grew up in Pennsylvania.
All told, six Reading United alumni were named All-American, with goalkeeper Brian Holt of
Creighton and defender Matt Hedges of North Carolina joining Wenger and Schuler on the first
team.
