English starlet Jack Wilshere has been rewarded for a promising start to the 2010-11 Premier
League season, signing a new long term deal with Arsenal on Monday.
The 18-year-old, who has started eight times in the Premier League this season, has been at the

English Premier League.

Ratings are on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being an absolutely amazing game and 1 meaning you could
barely kick the ball. It's all very scientific. One interesting thing about soccer is you can't
simply check a box score and see how a player, lets say a defensive player, performed that game.
It's early in the USSF Division 2 season, but tonight's matchup between the Portland Timbers and
Vancouver Whitecaps (10pm ET) features the top team in each conference.
Neither side has lost in 2010, and bring identical 2-0-1 records into tonight's game, hosted by
Portland at PGE Park.

After 11 days off from league action, the Portland Timbers return to the field Thursday night as
they take on first-year franchise Crystal Palace Baltimore at PGE Park.
In what's becoming an ugly pattern for the Portland Timbers, the team dominated possession,
controlled the pace of the match, and created a plethora of threatening opportunities but once
again failed to convert those chances into goals. The Timbers outshot the Impact 17-5, however, it
was Montreal that was able to capitalize and make the most of the few scoring moments they had.
