On Friday, Toronto FC waived their backup goalkeeper Brian Edwards and signed keeper Jon Conway,
recently waived by Chivas USA. This is Conway's 11th year in MLS. He had 62 appearances with the
New York Red Bulls from 2006-09. DC United also worked the waiver wire, signing defender Carey
Talley who was also waived by Chivas USA earlier in the week.
It's the offseason, and I really don't want to waste brain cells on the Re-Entry draft, so I've
whipped up a little interactive post for you guys. I was bored the other day, and got to thinking
about a hypothetical situation where instead of a main US national team, each state had a
representative side.

The emotional part of the old fan brain is cheering for this guy. It is the great underdog story,
the late, late draft pick who turns out to be a star. TFC history would indicate that he has very
little chance of sticking with the team. Brian Edwards is the only second round pick who has been
on the roster of late.
In the end, Marvell Wynne's explosive speed ran him right out of town. The jovial American
wing-back, who became a quick fan favourite after his 2007 arrival, seems to be the latest victim
of the "
Mo Johnston Last Minute Club". Wynne has been shipped off to Colorado Rapids in
exchange for versatile midfielder Nick "La Rock" LaBrocca and a low draft pick thrown in for fun.

Saric. Best Argentine-Croat we've hadLate Friday, Toronto FC announced some further additions to "Mo Johnston's Last Minute Club". As
reported here yesterday, GK Brian Edwards was released and in his place comes former Chivas USA
back-up keeper Jon Conway.
Also in the final boarding call was trialist Martin Saric.
Please indulge me, I am going to take a moment to toot my own horn and wave my own flag.
Entering season 4, I think I have maintained this blog at a decent rate over the years. All games
covered. All trades, signings and draft picks mentioned. Lately I have been finding it hard to keep
the old blog up to date.
