In a recent article, I looked at unbeaten ratios for the top managers in English football over the
last 50 years. Today, I take a look at win ratios: who has the highest win percentage, and how have
Liverpool's managers compared with their rivals over the years?
Here are the figures for all Liverpool managers from 1959-present (all competitions):

Rafa Benitez is holding his own against some of Liverpool's legendary managers of the past!
Peter Ward is better known for his time at Brighton (voted Brighton's All-Time greatest player by
Sky Sports viewers earlier this year) but he also had a spell at the City Ground working under
Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. Ward's time at Nottingham Forest was certainly not what he was
hoping for and resulted in him [.
Folks, the movie has arrived in Springfield! It opened Friday and runs until Thursday so you
have several days still to get out and see the movie. Two things try to get out, the movie has
gotten good reviews and we want the Moxie to continue bringing films of this sort to town.
Secondly, let them know you heard about it on my website!

RailHawks Fans:
I'm sure by now most of you have heard the news that in 2010 the Carolina RailHawks plan to play in
the new North American Soccer League. We've all been patiently waiting to hear confirmation of what
next season holds and I for one couldn't be more excited about the homage the new league is paying
to many of the pioneers of professional soccer in this country by adopting the NASL moniker.
Which sport has the best set of fans?
Football or rugby? Which are more passionate, more loyal, more knowledgeable and which generate
the more infectious atmospheres?
There is only one answer as far as I am concerned and it's not the group of egg-chasing
enthusiasts.
Breaking news: Kleenex supplies in Derbyshire have just run out. "It's a bigger outrage than when
Diego Maradona punched the ball past Peter Shilton in 1986. It's a bigger disgrace than when
Zinedine Zidane butted Marco Materazzi three years ago," fumes the Derby Telegraph on its
tear-stained pages. The strains of mournful violins can be heard across [.

On the 30th May 2004 (before Benitez was appointed), I wrote a post on ThisIsAnfield.com arguing
that Martin O Neill should get the Manager's job ahead of Benitez and Jose Mourinho. Five and a
half years later and my view has not change, and after yesterday's passionless display at
Portsmouth, the need for a manager who is able to inspire and motivate is more pressing than ever.
Took a few days off with the girlfriend and kids - and while they played in the snow, I thought I'd
finish up my stack of David Peace novels - having sailed through the 1974, 1977, 1980 and 1983 Red
Riding Quadrilogy I still had The Damned Utd and GB84 to read.
For whatever reason - and I may have mentioned it before - this last couple of years I've become
even more nostalgic, I think it's my age.
