5. Brian Ching - Watching Ching play is like watching tree sap solidify. He's so slow he wouldn't
even be a half decent international squad's water boy. They would all die of dehydration by the
time he got water to them.
4. Taylor Twellman - Slower than Ching and less skilled on the ball. If it wasn't for his
Revolution teammate, Pat Noonan, he'd probably be in USL-2 and working part time at a doughnut
shop.
A couple new things to flag this week: first, some major rearranging blew through the Top, um, 9
this week, the result of some sober reconsideration of a couple teams; second, now that we're
clearly in crunch-time I'm going to list the next "Week's" game(s) for each team after I rank
‘em. And, as always, [...]
The Houston Dynamo have just announced that they have secured the services of DeWayne De Rosario
through the 2010 season.
No financial terms were released, however earlier in the year De Rosario was asking for a
significant raise from his roughly $150,000 paycheck. He mentioned that he would like to make about
what Brian Ching makes or $220,000 a year.
Brian Ching failed a fitness test for today's US match versus Sweden. Landon Donovan will likely
have to play forward now for the US side.

Overview This one is pretty uncomplicated. Houston had a straight-up kick-ass 2007. It's not
just that they won MLS Cup (more on this later), but how well they carried themselves through a duo
of international tournaments, the CONCACAF Champions Cup and the inaugural Superliga.

Welcome to this, my last MLS Cup preview, where I'll turn my (divided) attention to how the Houston
Dynamo's offense matches up with the New England Revolution defense. I'm burning out ever so
slightly on this project, less because it doesn't interest me than it only feels like more
blah-blah-blahing as we get closer to [...]
It was a weekend of statements. From DC United's "knock this battery off my shoulder...bitches,"
through Red Bull New York's, "don't call it a come-back," all the way down to the Los Angeles
Galaxy reeling out a quiet "Yeah...it can get worse, actually" while longingly eyeing the last day
of the regular season, the league [...]
The sun was in my eyes before the game tonite when I predicted the Fire to win. It was really
windy and my fingers were slipping all over the keyboard. That was an accident that I said I
predicted the Fire to win.
How about that goal scored by TT, was that the goal of the year?
So Blanco - his main job was to tell the ref what was going on, and he was pretty busy with that
one.
