I enjoyed the 2009 W-League season so much that I decided to put together an all-conference team
based on the games we covered at ColoradoSoccerNow.
University of Colorado senior Nikki Marshall has been named to the 2009 Missouri Athletic Club's
Hermann Trophy watch list for the second consecutive season.
The Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious award in intercollegiate soccer.
Marshall is one of 45 players nominated for this award and is the first player in school history
to earn the nomination twice.
The University of Colorado soccer team was picked to place third in the Big 12 Conference in a
preseason vote of league head coaches, the Big 12 announced Wednesday.
Colorado is coming off of a fourth-place regular-season finish and a trip to the Big 12
Championship game, where the Buffs fell 1-0 to Missouri.
The Colorado Rapids will celebrate the newest addition to their Gallery of Honor during halftime
of the team's match Aug. 30 against the Houston Dynamo.
Former Rapids captain John Spencer will have his name and number hung permanently inside Dick's
Sporting Goods Park, becoming the fourth player in the Gallery of Honor.
