The Real Colorado Cougars won two games during a three-game swing in Southern California, beating Ventura County and Los Angeles and falling to W-League powerhouse Pali Blues.

Beth West, Becca Mays and Brittney McDonald scored for the Cougars in a 3-1 victory over Ventura County, and Kellyn Farrell, a right midfielder who is a recent graduate of South Dakota State, assisted on all three goals.

University of Colorado senior Nikki Marshall has been named to the 2009 Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy watch list for the second consecutive season.

The Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious award in intercollegiate soccer.

Marshall is one of 45 players nominated for this award and is the first player in school history to earn the nomination twice.
