One of the disadvantages of working a paying job whilst trying to build a readership on your own
blog is that sometimes we get blindsided by events that need immediate reporting such as we saw
today in London as England manager Fabio Capello resigned his position immediately following a
meeting with FA Chairman David Bernstein.
AVB hasn't exactly had it easy since he has come to Chelsea has he?. He came into the club as a
breath of fresh air speaking of motivation, fine tuning the team and with his technical staff
getting the best out of everyone.
Chelsea sit fourth just ahead of the likes of Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal and a whopping 12
points behind United and Man City and more importantly seven points and four goals behind Spurs.
Generation 2022: Al-Kass Under-17 International Cup Scouting Report is a post from: Just
Football
Always on the lookout for new talent here at Just Football, we sent our man
in Qatar to check out the inaugural Al-Kass International Under-17 tournament. A warm welcome to
Raphael Nawari, who reports on a competition full of promising youngsters:
In a small secluded part of the world, the new stars of tomorrow are taking part in a newly
formed tournament, which in years to come will be considered as one of the better known youth
tournaments, rivalling the Milk Cup and others where the likes of Wayne Rooney, Ronaldinho and
Lionel Messi have graced us with their precocious talents.
Ducky's Note: Starting with this post, and hopefully not dying a premature
death, BigFourZa will feature interviews with other football fans from around the world under the
'Fanboyism' section. The topics will range from match previews, reviews, transfer discussions,
referee rants and a lot more.

Norwich City vs Arsenal from Carrow Road, Norwich
The first kickoff of the weekend after the international break see's an Arsenal side who are in
form after their woeful start visit Norwich who have been very well organized, and shown to have
some firepower as well.
Having yet to play a part for Arsenal this season, Jack Wilshere, looks set to make things up
for his club, although not anytime soon but the England international midfielder promised the fans
they will see much of him in the future as Wilshere pledged his loyalty to the club.
Answering a question from the media about his future with the London outfit, Wilshere
convincingly stated that he has no plan to play for any other clubs aside from his current one.
With seven wins out of the last eight, four wins a row, (albeit some scrappy ones) and goals
galore from our star player van Persie, it suddenly feels good to be an Arsenal fan again.
It even seems the majority of gooners making themselves heard on the internet via forums, blogs
and Twitter believe we can beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Following my original article singing Benny's praises as a footballer and all round good egg, he
continues to impress me no end. Assou Ekotto is a complete breath of fresh air in today's game.
This week he's been "rewarding inspirational teenagers" where more than 70 young people received
their Educational Achievement Awards from the man himself at a special ceremony at White Hart Lane
as part of a joint initiative between Haringey Council and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation.
Liverpool FC was making hard work of the Merseyside derby – and then Kenny Dalglish introduced
the substitutes. We did not look like we were going to break Everton down and we missed a great
opportunity when Dirk Kuyt's penalty was saved by Tim Howard at the end of the first half. With 10
men, Everton just sat back and we were struggling but it was game long marred by the wrongful
decision to send off Jack Rodwell.
Conceding late on only to a wonder-goal from Borussia Dortmund yesterday, Arsenal showed a
new-found defensive solidity in their opening Champions League game of the season, and what might
be the hardest of this group.
It's easy to forget that, with their nine-year absence from the competition, Dortmund are
actually in it as German champions this year, and were never going to be easy to play away from
home, with German grounds usually providing the best atmosphere in Europe.
On a day when Plymouth Argyle players are considering going on strike because they haven't been
paid in ages, it's a breath of fresh air to hear about a feel-good story for a change. Manchester
City have been making inwards into Sierra Leone, a...

Arsene Wenger is expected to make some big-name signings at long last with days remaining before
the transfer window closes.
It emerged that Kaka, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines, Yann M'Vila & Lille forward Eden Hazard are
all possible targets*.
But here lies the problems, Arsenal fans, including myself are fed up with that word.

In football, truth and fact are often two very different things. While the ‘high ground' of
passing, flowing football is admirable to most fans, the bottom line is what really matters at the
end of the day. Fighting the good fight, only to lose, is nothing but glorious failure, honorable
defeat, and worthless in the sands of time.
After what seems like an eternity this summer, Chelsea take on Stoke in about an hour and I really
can't wait to get started. There will be so much media attention on us and everyone is expecting us
to fail. Reporters and "pundits" all over the country are looking at Chelsea wondering if we can
really challenge United and hopefully today they will see signs that we can.
Over the years, RoM has had many a chat with Chelsea Den from The Chelsea Blog in the lead up to
match days and season. This year, we get to hear about the hopes for the latest Chelsea manager,
what went wrong last season and United's best players.
Scott the Red: So, after spending periods of the season in fifth before pulling it back
to just nine points behind us, were you happy with your team's performance last
season?
Quick Reminder, Real Life The two most important words on any West Brom fan's lips last season must
surely have been: Peter Odemwingie. What a breath of fresh air in the Premier League. Odemwingie
arrived at The Hawthorns and was an instant hit. The club dismissed manager Roberto Di Matteo
half-way through the year in the thick of a relegation battle, and Roy Hodgson came in, steadied

As the start of the 2011/12 season draws ever nearer, anticipation among fans rises to a
‘peripherally aware, but infinitely more interested in the transfer window' stage and, as ever,
there are a number of questions begging to be answered.
Peri nice! After acquiring Dasan Robinson in exchange for Dan Gargan this morning, we
commented that more moves were likely. We didn't expect it to be 8 hours later.
This evening TFC announced that the club has picked up Bosnian-born American Perica "Peri"
Marosevic, a once highly touted 22-year old forward.
Theo Walcott is excited for the chance to play alongside summer signing Gervinho, calling him "a
breath of fresh air." Theo has also gone on record saying he thinks the Gunners owe their fans a

Head scratcher: Abby Wambach and the rest of the U.S. women's team were left to rue what
could have been after Sunday's World Cup final loss to Japan (AP Photo).
You could talk about the jillion wasted first half chances the U.S. women missed in the first
half of a World Cup final they would eventually lose to Japan.

Next season is widely regarded as a new start by most Liverpool fans. Finally being rid of the
strain put on the club by previous owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett and a new breath of fresh
air being brought into the club by John Henry and FSG has been warmly welcomed at Anfield.
This article has nothing about Arsenal but I just wanted to share my views on the teams fighting
the battle for survival at the wrong end of the table.
Two out of Blackburn, Wolves, Wigan, Birmingham, and Blackpool will be joining West Ham in the
Championship next season.
To be perfectly frank, I am disappointed that some good sides are struggling to survive.
Relegation, prize money and a Portuguese record breaker Blackpool Whilst Blackpool have undoubtedly
been a breath of fresh air in the Premier League, should his side be relegated at Old Trafford on
Sunday then there will be questions asked of Ian Holloway's ethos. Because quite simply when a
promoted club has the sixth top scorer [.

Manchester City look set to secure their entrance to the Champions League this week. They face a
Tottenham side on the slide, if trotting out of the Champions League and into European
competition-less oblivion within a year is considered a slide.
The Doncaster Rovers dilemma is a post from: Just Football
Doncaster Rovers are arguably the Championship's most attractive side to watch – but, this
season, it hasn't got them very far. Sean O'Driscoll's men are 20th in the table and just five
points above the drop zone. James McMath asks if it is time for Rovers to betray some of their
principles in a bid to secure safety.
Ducky's Note: Long time Arsenal fan and occassional journalist Swaroop has quite a bone to
pick with a lot of people, especially the English Media. He may sound distinctly like he's part of
the Arsene Knows Brigade but he insists everything he says below are pure FACHTS.
While some Arsenal fans are saying that it is time Arsene Wenger went just to bring in a breath
of fresh air inside the Emirates, isn't it a case of changing just for the sake of changing?
He's had fans demonstrating against him for so long he hardly ever attends games anymore. The
government refused to back his nonsensical world cup bid and have actively opposed him. Boos
calling for him to stand down echoed round Bung Karno Stadium at the AFF Cup Final against Malaysia
seen and heard around the region.
Frank Lampard is featured in an interview published in The Sun, talking of David Luiz and the
impact he has had on the club since he joined the club and you get the impression that Lamps feels
the same as all of us. He loves him!.
He said:
"I can only be pleased we've got him, because he would be ideal for the
Arsenal.
So the waiting is over and we now know the final 8 names for the Champions League draw which
will take place tomorrow.
The quarter finalists are Spurs, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan,
Schalke 04 and Shakhtar Donetsk so it's all eyes on Nyon in Switzerland to see who our next
opponents will be.
Afternoon, all. As was the case this time last week, we're treading unknown
waters. Bloomfield Road has been as foreign a soil as the climbs of Lombardy in recent memory; all
we know for sure is that it's a ground none too equipped with the onset of deep burrowing frost and
the locals don't seem too keen on playing there.
Team: Club Deportivo Chivas-USA
Head Coach: Robin Fraser (1st Year)
Last Year's Finish: Last Place in Western Conference, 15th Overall 8-18-4
Last season for Chivas-USA was one that wants to be forgotten.
We've decided to add a new category to the site aptly named "Ian Holloway
Watch", he's been a breath of fresh air since Blackpool reached the EPL via the
Play-Offs last Summer, his no bulls**t attitude to both EPL authorities and clubs have been
outrageous, his current stance on midfielder Charlie Adams staying at Bloomfield Road have been as
entertaining as his teams attacking football on the pitch and here's our first installment of "Ian
Holloway watch".
It was a game of brinkmanship well worth playing, as Ian Holloway wasn't alone in thinking the
Premier League would actually fine him for fielding a 'weakened' team against Villa last
autumn.
But now they have, Holloway has been true to his word and offered his resignation, though I'm sure
he knows it won't be accepted.

Love him or hate him, there's no doubt that Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has been a breath of
fresh air for the Premier League this season. His straight-talking, often humorous mannerism has
won him a number of fans, while others have questioned the wisdom behind his blunt approach to life
among the country's elite, especially as his comments often steal the headlines from his
over-achieving players.
Two teams. Two coaches who count on the Coupe de France to salvage their record at the end of
the season. Granted, Nice is in a far worse position than Lyon; but when you're coaching Lyon,
you're expected to win the title, or, at the very least, to be qualified for the Champions
League.
