The Portland Timbers were finally able to talk about the long term status of their young Colombian
forward, Jose Adolfo Valencia. After discovering some scarring in his left knee during a pre-season
medical exam that could lead to troubles down the line, the Timbers worked with Valencia's former
club in Colombia to adjust the transfer agreement, allowing Valencia to undergo surgery in Portland
this year.
We're quite certain this falls into the "breaking news" category, but we'll be damned if we put
the effort into Googling the amount of times a 'baller has been seen with his sweetie at Cricket.
For as long as we've been spouting nonsense and abalicious photos, it's never happened.
Perhaps Charlie's fiancée fancied herself a pair of limited edition Ruthie Davis hi-tops with
signature spikes, something she's been recently lusting over on Twitter.
The breaking news from the Daily Mail is that Adrian Mariappa has turned down a move to Wigan
Athletic. Adrian Mariappa - has turned down move to Wigan The rumor was that a fee had been agreed

The Portland Timbers announced another player signing on January 30, but they didn't follow their
recent trend of signing Colombian players. They added the all time leading scorer in the Scottish
Premier League history, forward Kris Boyd, to a designated player contract. Boyd will join the team
as soon as the team receives his international paperwork and medical clearance.
Some breaking news recently with Stewart Downing being arrested on suspicion of assault. Downing
was arrested following an alleged incident with an ex-girlfriend in the early hours of Sunday
morning. More bad news for Liverpool, who would be hoping to stay out of the headlines after the
recent incidents at Anfield.

The Columbus Crew underwent a successcful rebuilding period in 2011, as they parted ways with
several veterans and brought in a group of new faces that exceeded expectations last season.
One of the few familiar faces to remain was Chad Marshall, and all he did was help anchor the
stingy Crew defense for yet another season.

Breaking news today on Official Chelsea. Nicolas Anelka and Alex have handed in transfer requests
to the club and these have both been accepted!
To be honest it comes as no surprise as both players have been the subject of rumour and
speculation lately.
Alex has been talking of moving to Italy since back in the summer and hasn't featured a
great deal this season so far.

temporada.

Whoever makes it on to the plane for Kazan this week won't be joined by their manager as Harry
Redknapp will be dealing with what was first referred to as ‘unexplained medical problem' as
opposed to making the journey himself.
The official statement on the club website reads: "Harry Redknapp is due to undergo a medical
procedure tomorrow morning and will therefore not travel with the squad.
Morning chums!
Football returns tomorrow. For some. The rest of us have to wait until Sunday to sit around
hungover and watch Arsenal, but it's coming. And with that comes the news. The life-blood of this
very site. Stuff about Arsenal. It's marvelous. Arsene Wenger has been talking about various things
and we can pore over every word, examing them, analysing them, and seeking to be offended at the
slightest little thing.

More breaking news:
Liverpool have agreed a fee with Chelsea for sudden wantaway midfielder Raul Meireles.
Thats a pity as I rate the Portuguese midfielder very highly.
But if he wants to join up with Villas-Boas then good luck to him.
Breaking news coming in at the close of the transfer window with Chelsea confirming the signing
of Raul Meireles from Liverpool. Chelsea had a late £40 million bid for Luka Modric rejected by
Tottenham Hotspur and seemingly turned their attention to Meireles, who has been unhappy at his
role as substitute for Liverpool so far this season.
Breaking news is that Raul Meireles has handed in a written transfer request to Liverpool Fc.
It is now 10:30pm and with just a half an hour left to go in the Summer transfer window, this comes
as a sudden and major surprise.
His head must have been turned by the rumours coming out of Chelsea the past week.
