Forward Taylor Nicholls netted a brace as No. 10 Metro State shutout Southwest Baptist (Mo.)
2-0 on Monday in non-conference action at Auraria Field.
The Roadrunners improved to 2-0-0 this season with the win, while SBU dropped to 1-1-0. The

OK, so we have come to the end of a very intense college soccer pre season campaign. This
involved practicing two times a day plus playing 4 pre season games.
We start our regular season schedule this week.
Pre season was a success for us. In terms of numbers we won 2 and lost 2. That does not sound
impressive, however the performances of the team as a whole plus individual players really were
very good.
The AFC Cup quarter final first-leg between Thai Port and Al-Qadsia ended in a goalless draw. The
game was played in difficult conditions at Suphachalasai, as heavy rain swept into the Stadium for
the entire game, creating a difficult surface on which to play cohesive football.
The home side adapted to the conditions quickest, creating a couple early chances.
Goals by sophomores Molly Haertle (Oconomowoc) and Elaine
Gerry (Sauk Prairie) in a 74-second span in the opening 10 minutes were enough to send the

There was no way to separate the Regis Rangers and the Metro State Roadrunners men's soccer
teams on Wednesday afternoon on Auraria Field.
No. 11 Metro State and No. 18 Regis University settled for a 2-2 draw, the fourth consecutive

For the better part of 93 minutes, it looked as though the lowly New England Revolution were
going to end FC Dallas' 15-game unbeaten streak Wednesday night. Instead, a Jeff Cunningham goal on
the second-to-last-kick of the match saved a point for the Hoops and kept the streak alive.
