Even though I am a very big fan of Miami FC, I am often puzzled by the way they do business. When it comes to the way they are towards the fans and the Miami Ultras they have been great. They have always made me feel special and appreciated. I have not heard any complaints in this area.

The field is full for Madison United's 17th annual President's Cup indoor soccer tournament, with a record 84 teams registered to play in the event Feb. 13-14 at BreakAway Sports Center in Fitchburg and Keva Sports Center in Middleton.

The tournament is set to have 32 teams in the Men's Open competition, 28 in Women's Open, 16 in Men's Over-30 and eight in Men's Over-38.

I haven't had as many posts on the lower divisions of US soccer as I should, but this latest news will motivate me to do so. The USSF has declined to sanction neither the USL First Division nor the new NASL as a second-division soccer league for the 2009-2010 season. The NASL is composed of breakaway clubs from the USL First Division, and since the end of the USL season a number of clubs have defected to the NASL so that now it has just four members.
