Ronaldinho Headed to Another Galaxy?!
We broke the rumor on facebook last week, but it's been confirmed by an inside scoop that
Ronaldinho will indeed be joining the LA Galaxy MLS team. The announcement has not yet been made
"official" but we're confident more news will pour out in coming days.
Finally, after ranting and raving for the inclusion of Ronaldinho in the Brazilian national
team, coach Mano Menezes had heard the cries of his millions of fans across the globe.
Menezes has given the Milan star a chance for inclusion in his squad if he continues with his
remarkable form which helped the Serie A giants finish third in the league last season.
It have been a tough few weeks for the official World Cup ball. While his predecessors had
already gotten the routine thumbs down from goalkeepers, Jabulani appeared to receive universal
disapproval, with players and coaches joining the negative chorus.
Swimming against the current is Brazilian midfielder Kaka, who defended the ball during a recent
press conference of the Brazilian national team.
Chelsea has finally secured the services of the Brazilian Ramires. About time. So, with one saga
over another is needed to continue the tension at Stamford Bridge, right?
No worry. Neymar or, more specifically, his parent club Santos FC are more than willing to
oblige. Perhaps even more so than the lovely gentlemen at Benfica.
What better place to make a presentation about the Brazilian national team than Carnaval? Well with
some of the great stars of the sport in Brazil present in the pre-Lent co-capital of the universe,
it was the perfect thing to do.
Robinho was in Rio de Janeiro showing off the World Cup alternate uniform that the
Canarinha
will be using and Nike so far has disappointed.
Well, if Brazilian fans can't see legendary Ronaldinho in this summer's World Cup, young 18
year-old Neymar may be able to make up for it.
During Santos' 8-1 beat down on Guarani, Neymar impressed once again finding the back of the net
five times.
Despite Ronaldinho's Serie A success, it is unlikely that he will be making another World Cup
appearance this summer.
Neymar (5 Feb 1992) plays striker / winger for Santos and the Brazilian national team. During
his national team debut last night in a 2-0 win over the United States, Neymar netted a goal just
29 minutes into play.
When more eyes are on you than Robinho, you know you have arrived. A fresh new Brazilian team
took the pitch last night, and they are again starting to look like the Brazil of old.
Five years ago Ronaldinho was considered the greatest footballer in the world by many critics.
And this month the Brazilian midfielder is expected to finally make his long awaited return to the
Brazilian national team. Newly appointed head coach Mano Menezes recently stressed that the AC
Milan man "can add value in a sector where we must still evolve.
Dan Gaspar has rejoined Portugal's National Team staff in preparation for World Cup in South
Africa.
Gaspar reunites with Portugal national coach Carlos Queiroz. They worked together at last year's
qualifiers, Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Grampus Eight in Japan, the South African National Team
and the MetroStars (now the Red Bulls)
Portugal was drawn one of the toughest groups where it will face five-time champion Brazil and
Africa's top contender, Côte d'Ivoire.
Alexandre Pato (2 Sept 1989) plays winger for the Brazilian national team and AC Milan. His
nickname "Pato" originated from his birth place and led to soccer commentators calling him "The
Duck." Pato's actual name is Alexandre Rodrigues da Silva.
Pato is explosive, quick, and just 20 year-old.

Add Manchester United to the long list of teams that will have to wait for Borussia Dortmund
defender Neven Subotic to become a free agent.
Reports out of Europe claim United is the latest club interested in the blossoming defender, but
Dortmund club executive director Hans-Joachim Watzke said the club has no intention of selling
Subotic.
There have been abundant rumors of international stars looking to play in MLS in the near future,
including Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, and Ze Roberto, among others. But now you can add a new name
to the list: Juventus midfielder Diego. The Brazilian star spoke out in an interview on Thursday
about the growing American league and his desire to play in the United States one day.
The European season came to an end in Italy, Spain and France with the favourites in La Liga,
Barcelona and the favourites in the Serie A Inter Milan winning their respective titles amidst
stiff challenges from Real Madrid and AS Roma.
Messi once again proved that scoring is his second nature as he grabbed a brace in the
Blaugrana's 4-0 thrashing of Real Valladolid at the Nou Camp to take his goal tally to 34.
The brazilian national team has spent the past week at CT Caju, home of Atletico-PR's training
ground in the southern city of Curitiba, Brazil. Contrary to the ridiculous circus that coach
Parreira bought into in 2006, Dunga's pragmatic and no-frills approach has shown through already.
Most practice sessions have been closed to both press and the public.
Adriano and Flamengo confirmed that he is leaving the club and that he'll join AS Roma in the next
30 days.
He has had a mixed spell at Flamengo. Initially arriving as the almight Emperor and promising
titles, the player's disciplinary problems showed through quickly. He missed 14 sessions of
training alone in 2010.
Brazilian national team striker Luis Fabiano described a move from his current club Sevilla to
Manchester United as "very attractive."
Sir Alex Ferguson has indicated that changes are likely to occur for his squad during summer
after losing the league championship crown to Chelsea and failing to win the Champions League.
Michel Bastos (2 Aug 1983) plays winger or left back for the Brazilian national team and
Olympique Lyonnais. Bastos, who played left back during this summer's World Cup, had an immediate
impact on his squad's offensive productivity. Bastos was dangerous out of the back and frightened
opposing defenses on the Brazilian counter-attack.
Luiz Antonio Venker Menezes, or simply Mano Menezes, has become the new coach of the Brazilian
national team and the former coach of Corinthians was actually the second choice for the job
following Fluminense club's head coach Muricy Ramalho's rejection of the honor earlier in the
week.
Mano will likely continue on a similar path as coach Dunga considering the former footballer was
also a defensive minded player during his career in the 1970's and early 1980's.
Paulo Nagamura is without doubt one of the most talented defensive midfielders in MLS,
that's why Chivas USA signed him back from his stint in Mexico. We were able to catch up with the
Brazilian, and he chatted openly with Soccer Jones.
Who was your idol growing up in Brazil?
Mano Menezes has a tough job ahead of him. He's taking over as the Brazilian national team
coach right after a World Cup of failure for the nation. Carlos Dunga failed to win the 2010 World
Cup, and in a country which expects to win the tournament every four years, that's not good enough.
Now Menezes will be under a huge amount of pressure having taken over the team, especially with the
next World Cup in 2014 taking place in Brazil.
Or so say's the Brazilian's agent...
The 23-year-old Samba striker, a rumoured target of Manchester United and Sir Alex, is
focused on a call up to the Brazilian national team. After the tournament, a move to Manchester
United will be discussed.

The greatest Wizards player of all time is now going into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Today
the announcement was made that Preki, and fellow 1998 World Cup veteran, Thomas Dooley. Preki
earned 4 MVP awards and 16 all star appearances in indoor and outdoor soccer over his career.
Before becoming "our hero" Preki spent years playing in England and in different indoor leagues
befor joining the Wizards.

Porrrr fin! The Barca boys have FINALLY arrived in Milan after a
grueling 1,000km journey by bus. It took almost 24 hours for
Puyolita and co' to arrive and they even had to make a pit stop at
Cannes to sleep at a hotel there.
AC Milan forward Ronaldinho says that he is not only confident of making the Brazilian national
team squad but that he will also help them win the title they last won in 2002. Ronaldinho who has
been at odds with current coach Dunga for a reason not too many people know of, appears to be very
confident of making the squad.
Kaka (22 April 1982) plays attacking midfielder for Real Madrid and the Brazilian national
team. Currently, Kaka is considered one of the world's best players along with the likes of Messi
and CR9. Well, yesterday Kaka found the back of the net in the 82nd minute to secure a victory
for Real Madrid over Real Zaragoza as they chased for the right now be named La Liga's best.
Pachuca looked poised for defeat as the final seconds ticked off the clock on Wednesday night,
their hopes of another CONCACAF Champions League title fading with each passing moment.
That was before Edgar Benitez scored a dream goal in the 93rd minute to give Pachuca a 1-0
second-leg victory and Champions League final victory on away goals against Cruz Azul.
Júlio César Soares de Espíndola (born 3 September 1979), commonly known as
simply Júlio César, is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays as a
goalkeeper for Internazionale of the Italian Serie A. He is also currently the first-choice
goalkeeper for the Brazilian national team, having won 47 international caps.
I'll have a complete season review up sometime in the next few days, but to tide you over until
then, here is next season's schedule. For obvious reasons, only league games are listed, as
Champions League, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue dates haven't been decided yet. Also to be
determined is Lyon's summer schedule.
As the second favourites to win the 2010 World Cup after Spain, Brazil are used to the pressure
that comes with the eyes of the world being upon them. No other country on earth's identity is so
closely associated with football, yet much of the mythology that surrounds the Brazilian national
team stems their failure to win the tournament that they hosted in 1950.
It's a sad day, despite the fact it's the five-year anniversary of Istanbul. And it's a sad day
despite knowing the inevitability of today's news. But Fabio Aurelio's exit from Liverpool was
always going to be a sad day.
If Aurelio wasn't made of glass, he could have been one of Liverpool's best ever left backs.
The brazilian national team and it's complete delegation visited Lula in Brazil's capital,
Brasilia. The president, an outpoken Corinthians fan, offered the Palacio da Alvorada (official
residency) as the venue. CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation) President Ricardo Teixeira was
working on home turf, given his political and mafiosi-style antics.
Brazil renewed their criticism of the World Cup ball on Thursday, coach Dunga saying players
from other countries were also unhappy with it.
You don't think they are a little biased based on the fact that Nike is basically the owner of
the Brazilian team?
Dunga was also angry with Fifa general secretary Jerome Valcke, who implied during a news
conference this week that, in criticising the ball, Brazil were looking for excuses in case they
failed to win the tournament.

In office since 2006, Dunga's first head coaching experience has come on the biggest stage. He
and Argentine rival Diego Maradona are considered the two most controversial head coaches heading
into the World Cup and, ironically, they are a few of the only ones that have ever hoisted the Cup
before as a player.
While IBRAHIMOVIC hangs out next to a swimming pool in Miami on holidays, ROBINHO is concentrated
with the Brazilian National Team in South Africa awaiting the World Cup to kick off. What both do
however share & have in common is that neither of their respective Clubs wish them back for next
season. Even though FC BARCELONA says that Ibrahimovic is not on sale, the incorporation of Spanish
Adriano has completed his new contract with Roma as of yesterday, now making his way out to a
different Serie A squad.
Adriano was welcomed to the club by coach Claudio Ranieri and captain Francesco Totti.
"I spoke with Ranieri, he also wanted me when he was at Chelsea," revealed the former Inter
star.
Maicon (26 July 1981) plays right back for the Brazilian national team. During yesterday's
match against North Korea, Maicon netted a goal from what seemed an impossible angle to initially
put his squad up 1-0.
Brazil would go on to win their opening match of World Cup play 2-1.

Luis Fabiano (8 Nov 1980) plays striker for the Brazilian national team. During yesterday's
match against the Ivory Coast, Fabiano took over and netted two sensational goals (even if one was
assisted by a couple of handballs) to help Brazil come away with the 3-1 victory. Fabiano's goals
game in the 25th and 49th minutes of play.
Róbson de Souza (born 25 January 1984 in São Vicente), more commonly known as
Robinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays as a striker
for Premier League side Manchester City. He is also a member of the Brazilian national team.
Robinho was personally picked by Brazil legend Pelé as his heir apparent at only 15 years of
age and went on to lead Santos to their first Campeonato Brasileiro title since Pelé himself
played for the same legendary Brazilian club.
