It has been reported in various newspapers today and web columns (especially on the Daily Mail)
that Arsene Wenger will finally make his interest in Brazilian star Felipe Melo de Carvalho,
currently of Fiorentina in the form of a bid.
Arsene Wenger has tracked the star for about 3 years now and lost out last season to Fiorentina
who signed the Brazil international for £10 million euros from Almeria the Spanish side.
This weeks stunner is Brazilian Soccer School coach Sarah Harman from London. Sarah currently works
as a Budget Manager for an IS enabled project. She's in training to be a Management Accountant and
also helps run a Brazilian Soccer School in the Andover and Salisbury area. She attends the
coaching sessions every weekend working towards her coaching badges so she can help out even more.
Football is a funny game - this is the sport where anything, and I mean
anything, can happen completely out of the blue. For example, no one ever imagined
that Brazilian star Ronaldinho, who was literally unstoppable not too long ago, would suddenly
become as anonymous as he is nowadays.
Another trophyless season, but many positives to take out of it. Who is the player that you feel
has made the biggest, most impressive contribution to the Arsenal cause this campaign? Here are my
Top 5 contenders: Denilson - Quietly impressive. Those are the words I would use to describe this
flamboyant Brazilian midfielder.
Brazilian midfielder Denilson has been rated as the 16th most efficient player in the Premier
League by statistics experts Actim Index. Despite being criticised by many Arsenal fans this
season, Denilson proved to be a reliable figure in central midfield during Cesc Fabregas'
three-month absence.
Cinderella stories happen everyday, everywhere in this world. In particular, when it comes to
the world of football, we have seen quite a few of them. After all, who would have thought that
Senegal would knock France out of the World Cup in 2002? Or who would have picked Greece to win it
all in the European Cup of 2004?

There have been many occasions in recent years where the genius of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
has been brought into question. After all, the trophy cabinet has been empty for four years and
everyone, from skipper Cesc Fabregas to that little child in the upper tier at the
Emirates, is becoming increasingly restless with the club's underachievements.
With the Ballon d'Or nominations finally releasing this weekend, the headlines have mostly been
devoted to the fact that world champions Italy have no representation whatsoever. But why blame the
press for paying excessive attention to an irrelevant detail? After all, the award itself is
destined to be heading Lionel Messi's way, which means very little is there to be talked about in
terms of debating the winner, right?
Carlos Alberto Parreira is the new coach for the South African National Soccer Team. After two
weeks of rumours and denials, the South African Football Association (SAFA) made the announcement
just after 7pm at OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg.
During this Bafana coach fiasco, it seemed all that the loyal and passionate supporters were
agreed upon, is that they were happy that Joel Santana was out of the picture.
Brazilians are a funny species. We've seen some outrageous stories about Brazilian footballers,
ranging from Robinho this season to Fat Ronaldo in years past.
Just a month ago it was Adriano's turn to hit the headlines, as the former Inter Milan striker
went AWOL from Italy. Found somewhere in Brazil, Adriano told the press that he was sick of Italy
and needed to find himself.
Manchester United took another step towards the title against Manchester City on Sunday, and
Chelsea squared off against a wounded Arsenal side at the Emirates. Here are the winners and losers
from today's action
Winners Carlos Tevez
Manchester United fans woke up this morning to the news that Carlos Tevez is bidding farewell to
United, to Manchester, and to England.

While Emmanuel Adebayor's infamous lack of sportsmanship this past weekend has
overshadowed Manchester City's emphatic 4-2 victory over his former club
Arsenal, it is impossible to overlook the strong impact he has made at the
Eastlands already.

Arsenal return home in the drivers' seat needing only a 0-0 draw against Villarreal to advance to
the next stage of the UEFA Champions League. In the first leg match the Gunners were able to hold
out for a 1-1 draw at El Madrigal. The side managed by Arsene Wenger were able to even the match [.
Arsenal will have to face a top European team in Champions League qualification this August after
Chelsea secured third place with a 4-1 mauling of the Gunners. Alex headed in the opener despite
Arsenal's early dominance and Nicolas Anelka struck with a superb effort before half time. A Kolo
Toure own goal wrapped up three points for [.
Beyond the nation's borders, Italian football has certainly faded into the background in recent
years. A devastating match-fixing scandal in 2006 bitterly overshadowed the country's World Cup
triumph that year while the domestic league has clearly become a one-horse race ever since.
Reigning champions Inter Milan have shown no signs of a slip up in the Serie A for the last three
seasons and that trend continued with their strong start to the current season as well.
