Week 22 of the Campeonato Brasileiro featured a Paulista rivalry with 1st place on the line. The
game featured Palmeiras' coach Muricy Ramalho facing his old team and CSKA Moscow & new Palmeiras
loanee forward Wagner Love in the stands. Palmeiras traveled to the Morumbi to face São Paulo FC
and played to a 0-0 draw.
Inter took on Atletico-MG last night, a match from the 11th round that had been postponed. After
a good first-half of the visitors, a trio took Inter to the victory. Edu, ex-Betis, D'Alessandro
and Kleber, ex-Brazil International. Edu scored twice. D'Alessandro scored and handed assists. And
Kleber handed even more assists.
In the 23rd round of the Brasileirao, the race for the title came down to what is promising to
be a tight one. Palmeiras (44 points), Inter (43) and Sao Paulo (40) won their matches and offered
no chance for each other to relax.
On the match that marked the return of Vagner Love, Palmeiras received Barueri at
home.
Coritiba's Ariel. Hey Maradona, he is from Argentina. Just saying...
Even though the nation was transfixed on Brazil's big win versus Argentina, the Campeonato
Brasileiro still pressed on. 1st place Palmeiras extended its unbeaten streak to 3 games with a 2-1
win at home against Gremio Barueri. Vagner Love returned to his original club on loan from CSKA
Moscow and scored the game winning goal from a PK in the 73rd minute.
Week 24 is finally in the books after the all the matches were finally ended after Wednesday. São
Paulo moved to within 1 point of the top of the table with their 2-0 home win against Avaí. The

Match of the 24th round of Brasileirao. Goals by Jailton (Coritiba) and Dentinho
(Corinthians)
The heavy rain in Porto Alegre turned the match Inter Flamengo into a swimming contest.
The 24th round of Campeonato Brasileiro was all Sao Paulo's.
Sao Paulo received the surprisingly good side of Avai at Morumbi. In the first-half, Avai made
things difficult for Sao Paulo, as the home team offered loose defensive action in the midfield. In
the second-half, however, Sao Paulo decided to suffocate the visitors.
The 25th round of Brasileirao had all the elements to belong one more time to Sao Paulo. Inter
visited Vitoria always a tough match. Sao Paulo "visited" Santo Andre (piece of cake) and Palmeiras
will visit Cruzeiro on Wednesday. But the tricolor round ended up to be a green round.
This is a bit a late, but it confirms what i wrote earlier this week about the 25 round of
Brasileirao. It was a Palmeiras round. The club visited Cruzeiro and performed like a club coached
by Muricy Ramalho: solid in the defense and precise in the counter-attacks. The winning goal, by
Vagner Love, was constructed in such fashion.
The 26th round of Brasileirao smiled to Palmeiras again. The side headed by Muricy Ramalho
increased the lead to 5 points over the second team, and sees the title getting closer. Besides the
great victory, Sao Paulo and Inter did not win again.
On Saturday, Palmeiras received Atletico-PR.
