Surprise news today in the Evening Chronicle, that Newcastle fancy young David Hoilett of Blackburn Rovers. David Hoilett - impressive young forward The 20 year-old Canadian played 28 times for Blackburn this season with 6 goals, and has 55 total appearances for the club with 9 goals over the last couple of seasons.

TORONTO, Ont. Canadian soccer fans will have to wait a little longer for David Hoilett to make his national team debut. Hoilett was not among the 17 players named to Canada's roster today by coach Stephen Hart for an upcoming friendly against Greece. Canada takes on the former European champions on Feb.
