Oh? You thought I meant the other Ronaldo? Didn't think so...
Turns out he spends about an hour a day working on his midsection. Too bad he can't do brain
crunches, because the Real Madrid star missed a penalty kick (then didn't celebrate the rebound
goal by his teammate) and was ejected over the weekend.
On Day 3 of SPAOTP's Advent Calendar, we bring you something to occupy your football brain in the
shape of five quiz questions.
There's no prize on offer - just the chance to show your supreme intelligence when it comes to the
beautiful game.
So here are those footy questions, and if you think you know any of the answers, leave us a comment
and we'll tell you if you're right.
It's great to see that Panny Nikas, the undoubted star of Sutherland's run to the NSWPL title this
year, has earned a senior contract with the Central Coast Mariners after a prolific period with the
youth side.
I've rarely been as impressed by a state league prospect as I was by Nikas in 2009.
Neither Chelsea nor Manchester United nor Liverpool won this weekend. The three giants from the
2008-2009 season managed just one point, though
all three had home matches. Just one
point from nine at home. Last weekend, we saw a ton of penalty misses. This past weekend, we saw
the vulnerability of the Top 4 (and contenders).
I wasn't going to do a blog today, absolutely exhausted and just fancied coming home, sitting down,
and switching my brain off. I;m also sure I've used that title more than once. Unfortunately, my
brain decides when and if it wants to work and it wasn't shutting up. The fact that it has nothing
really constructive to say is infuriating, but I'll push on nonetheless and see where it leads.
Friends in London in December but enemies in Angola in January
A bit of what's
been going around Butt's Brain the last few days:
- Will Chelsea continue to suffer in midfield without Essien? A great analysis [Unprofessional
Foul]
- Another very solid analysis of a (former) Top 4 team - this time it's Liverpool's
problems dissected very well [Oh you beauty.
Well really, don't got one. To be blatantly honest, with the past two weeks I've had finals, family
coming from all over, and now I am in Canada. And you know, I swear I sat in front of my screen
getting ready to post something new, and fell asleep. That is my dedication to the freepressmachine
that I am running here.
Xmas day doesn't half pass quick eh? I trust you all got spoiled rotten, stuffed silly, and that
at least one of you injured yourself in a ridiculously stupid way due to alcohol-impaired
mentalness. Anything less and I'd be very disappointed in you all.
With more box sets than HMV to get through they'll have to wait as the Chavs are first up on
ESPN followed by Liverpool.
