If reports in the Portuguese media are to be believed Rodrigo Possebon, who was loaned out to SC
Braga, has returned to Manchester. Google translate is not the best, but according to this link,
he's been axed because of a squad trimming exercise by the coach.

We have another Weekend of Friendlies by Portuguese clubs. There were a few teams in action and we
will start it off with Guimaraes who defeated Trofense 3-2 with goals from Custodio and a pair from
Douglas while Trofense's markers came from Helder Sousa and Reguila. Nacional defeated Setubal 1-0
from an own goal.
Benfica and Braga are close to agreeing on a switch for left back Cesar Peixoto. Peixoto was held
out of Braga's UEFA Europa League matchup last week, as the teams continued to negotiate as to not
have Peixoto ineligible for play with Benfica when the transfer is completed.Benfica and Braga are
said to be ready to announce the deal over the next few days.
Braga and Pacos Ferreira have both been knocked out of the UEFA Europa League as both clubs bow out
early which is a big blow to Portugal gaining points in the UEFA coefficients. Braga lost again on

what amounted to a $400,000 purchase for the players full rights by the Lisbon club. Cesar Peixoto
should be present with the club today as it takes on AC Milan.

Former Porto striker Adriano has been sold to Braga and the 30 year old has decided to sign with
the Minho club for one season. Adriano who spent three seasons under contract with Porto will now
start his new career with Braga today at Axa Stadium

scored six minutes into the game and Matheus added another in the second half and Braga now sit two
points ahead of second place Benfica and five points ahead of third place FC Porto
Porto have moved back to the top of the standings in Portugal with a 2-0 victory on the road over
Braga. Lucho and C.Rodriguez scored for the Dragons tonight. Porto's win coupled by ties by Benfica
and Sporting this weekend moves the Dragons clear of both teams by one point.

The Friendlies are starting to pick up with many of the top portuguese clubs in action over the
weekend. We will start with defending champions FC Porto pulling off a 3-1 victory over Tourizense
on two markers from Hulk and another from Mariano with Figa scoring for Tourizense. Setubal
defeated Atletico Cacem 5-0, Keita and severino each scored a pair with Regula providing the other
marker.
The seventeenth round of Allsvenskan leaves us scratching our heads, with absolutely no idea what
to expect in the title race. Allsvenskan has been called the second most competitive league in
Europe after the top flight in San Marino and it's certainly living up to that reputation. The top
five teams are currently all neck-in-neck with only three points separating Helsingborg in first
place from AIK in fifth.

claques, e, na maioria dos casos com razão, dado o comportamento anti-social que muitas têm. No
entanto é justo referir-se o amor que muitas destas pessoas manifestam aos clubes e s
selecções nacionais.
A globalização faz-se sentir também no futebol de selecções. Na história recente do futebol
português um grande número de jovens das ex-colónias optaram jogar pelas Selecções Nacionais.
