in the upcoming eight-nation friendly tournament in Hungary from August 4-7.

Ireland under 21 international Robbie Brady is aiming to cast off his injury concerns and
consistently display his top form, after catching the eye in his first Man United Reserves start of
the season.
The Dublin born former St. Kevin's Boys winger bagged a brace in United's 5-1 Lancashire Senior Cup
win at Bury on Monday evening.
Fringe players Mark Randall and Gavin Hoyte were slammed by Liam Brady after their awful
showing against Welling United, Gooner Talk can reveal.
The attitude of some of the country's most privileged and highest paid youngsters was brought
into question as the likes of Nacer Barazite and Jay Simpson were thumped 4-1 by
Blue Square South side Welling.
Yes, we're only a few games into the season, and despite thumping Braga and Blackpool at home,
it hasn't being all that impressive. We're still suspect at the back, and tending to play a pass
too many in front of goal. It makes one wonder have any lessons from last season been learnt?!
Well, one player who has learnt buckets from last season is our whizzkid Jack Wilshere.

A couple of days ago Arsene Wenger had this to say on afc.com
"I have definite transfer targets and I have been talking to people but I will not tell you
to who," he told the Arsenal Matchday Programme.
The Frenchman then revealed there was a desire to bring in players ahead the summer
tournament.
Walking up and down the streets of New York before the most highly anticipated U.S. soccer match
in history, one could have mistaken this city for London, Berlin or Rio de Janeiro. Thousands of
people clad in football jerseys, and not the variety of Manning, Brady, or Peterson, but those of
Donovan, Altidore and Dempsey.
I know we have all been avoiding this subject, but no matter how much we try to bury our heads
in the sand this is the most important thing going on at our great club at the moment.
Barca want Cesc and boy don't we know it. My heart says we should hang on to our greatest talent
and Captain, I have admired his play on the field, I have admired his conduct off the field and I
have defended him when he was having an off spell the season before last.
Jack Wilshere has been compared to Liam Brady, Dennis Bergkamp and Andres Iniesta Wilshere, 18, has
secured a prominent role in the Arsenal starting line-up and also became the tenth youngest player
to represent England when appearing as a substitute in a friendly win over Hungary in August. The
midfielder is the youngest player to represent Arsenal [.

Ten years ago, Cardiff (and England) striker Jay Bothroyd was told by Arsenal's
head of youth development Liam Brady that he would never play for the club again
after the tempestuous teenager threw his shirt at coach Don Howe after being
substituted during an Under-19 match.
A decade ago, tempestuous teenager Jay Bothroyd was told by Arsenal's head of

the surly young striker hurled his shirt at coach Don Howe upon being substituted

Arsenal and Irish legend, Liam Brady also known as "Chippy" by the Arsenal faithful, has
lavished praise on Bendtner. The former Arsenal Winger, has spoken about Arsenal's record of
developing Young talent through the F.A Youth Cup into the first team and Bendtner features in that
catergory along with other Arsenal ace's like Alexandre Song, Johan Djourou and Cesc Fabregas.
Arsenal's Head of Youth Development Liam Brady believes many players who came through the youth
section of the Club will very soon be extremely important for the senior squad. Writing on the
Club's official website about ...
At #99 in Brady Jones' Top 100 LFC Goals of the Decade is Fernando Torres with an excellently taken
volley at Fulham in an unfortunate 1-3 defeat during the 2009-2010 season. In typical Torres
fashion, power was in combination with finesse and accuracy with this goal. With only minutes
remaining in the first half, and Liverpool [.
#98 on Brady Jones' Top 100 Goals of the Decade is from Dirk Kuyt, who dribbled and weaved through
a West Brom defense like a knife through warm butter. Dirk Kuyt's goals have traditionally been
scrambled efforts, well-placed shots in the box, or headers. Not this time. Instead, he was allowed
a rare opportunity to run [.

Recent comments from Giovanni Trapattoni's advisor have suggested that the Ireland boss is
considering an offer to take over the position of manager of Nigeria after also turning down the
Ivory Coast.
Trapattoni's advisor Domenico Ricci says the veteran Italian was approached by the Elephants a week
ago to lead the side at June's World Cup.
Shane Duffy, the talented teenage Everton centre-half, has decided that his international
future lies with Giovanni Trapattoni's Ireland rather than the North.
The Derry born defender rose to prominence with the 'Toffees' this season when making two
appearances for Everton in the Europa League against BATE Borisov and AEK Athens.
Good morning to you.
It is, of course, St Patrick's day today. To those of you who are Irish, who have Irish
heritage, whose grandfather might once have read a Flann O'Brien novel, whose name is Murphy even
though you've chosen to declare for England and deny Arsenal another great Irish talent like Brady,
O'Leary or McGoldrick, and everyone else, I wish you a very happy St Patrick's day.
This morning's post is about Wojciech Szczęsny, or Chesney , as he is referred to as its easier
to spell.
Who he is?
Born in Warsaw, the Son of a Polish legend "Maciej Szczęsny" The only Polish player to win four
league's title for four different clubs in the Polish League.
In the Summer of 2006 Chesney signed for The Arsenal, he had turned out for former side Legia
Warsaw aged just 15 years old.
Liverpool and Aston Villa have joined the race for Carlton Cole after it emerged last night that
West Ham rejected a £10million bid for the striker.
The offer has come from Birmingham who is desperate to prise the England frontman away from Upton
Park.
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has spoken directly to Hammers chief executive Karren Brady about a
deal made up of £8million cash with £2million in bonuses.
During the excellent world cup coverage on my home channel RTÉ, two ex-footballers decried the
rise in the defensive midfielder. Johnny Giles and Liam Brady are two certified legends of Irish
football both won multiple trophies at club level and Brady is currently the director of Arsenal's
famed youth system.
Five long summers ago, in the magnificent arena that is the Millennium Stadium, legend has it
that Arsenal won a trophy. That trophy was the FA Cup and they did so by beating Manchester United
5-4 on penalties. Back then Arsenal had men such as Vieira, Henry, Ljungberg, Campbell and Gilberto
Silva.
1. The New West Ham. Just Like The Old West Ham, But With A Bigger Logo
As I wandered through the heaving urban metropolis that is south Romford on my
way to the station this morning, I happened to glance up at the large revolving advertising board
that helps to give South Street it's Parisian air of late 60's
joie de vivre.
One of the most extraordinary goals that Liam Brady scored for Arsenal was on December 23, 1978.
And of all teams, it was against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane in the north London derby.
The 1978-79 season saw the return of Tottenham to the top flight, but Spurs were buoyed by the
addition of Argentina stars Ossie Ardiles and Ricardo Villa.
Does he has the right attributes?
With many of the first teamers either on transit or resting after their long flight back to
England, the focus falls on the younger shoulders of the club. Since Arsene Wenger took over the
club, we've had a very decent success with the under-age squads.
The result was so important yesterday. Chelsea and United both drew, we sit in second and the
table looks a little bit prettier. However, the in-topic around the English game rose its ugly head
again right in the back yard of the man who is seen to be the advocate of a non-contact game, well,
in the media's eyes.
A couple of things today:
First off, our little Peacemaker has been talking about who he wants to emulate. He has said his
role model is Liam Brady, Arsenal's playmaking midfielder from the late 1970s who now heads up
Arsenal's youth development program. Brady is justifiably regarded as a club legend, so it's a
savvy choice, showing a good sense of the club's history and traditions.
Wojciech Szczesny is not only the world's greatest name to use in a game of hang man; he's also
the future of the Arsenal Gunners. Well at least Arsenal is hoping that the young Polish keeper can
one day become that reliable #1 in the net.
Arsenal announced earlier today that Szczesny has recently agreed to resign with the club to a
long term deal.
