As we figured out this morning at breakfast in the MNT Camp, Michael Bradley actually scored a goal
in yesterday's win over Grasshopper. The person who informed us of our mistake: Bob Bradley.
Awkward. Next time, the Global Blog won't try to read German. Anyhow here is said goal:
The DFB Pokal Cup kicks off this weekend in Germany as teams from the Bundesliga get set to take on
lower division sides. Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach face FSV Frankfurt, while Steve
Cherundolo and Hannover 96 travel to meet Eintracht Trier on Sunday. Luis Robles and Kaiserslautern
get the action underway on Friday with a game against Eintracht Braunschweig.

Michael Bradley grabbed a late equalizer for Borussia Mönchengladbach as his club earned a
point in a 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen. You may have heard about Bradley's other two goals this
week...
Landon Donovan came on as a first half sub for the injured Luca Toni, but he couldn't help Bayern
get the win against high-flying Hertha Berlin.
Michael Bradley scored the tying goal in Gladbach's 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen on Saturday. Here

- Eddie Johnson scored his first goal for Cardiff City in a 3-0 win against Doncaster Rovers.
After entering the game midway through the first half, Johnson curled home a left-footed effort in
the 60th minute to open his account for Cardiff.
- Borussia Mönchengladbach lifted themselves off the foot of the Bundesliga table with an
impressive 4-1 win against Hamburg.

Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach failed to get out of the relegation zone this

VFL Bochum in the Bundesliga's Friday night game./a Bradley picked up a yellow card in the game and
Bochum cleared a goalbound attempt off the line in the final stages.

- In Scotland, Maurice Edu and Rangers will look to leapfrog Celtic in the top spot. Celtic won
yesterday, but Rangers can go back to the summit of the table with a win against Hibs today.
- Borussia Mönchengladbach escaped the relegation zone on Saturday with a win against
Schalke.

victory yesterday:
The win takes them three points clear of the relegation zone.
George Santayana once said "Those who cannot remember the past, are condemned to think that
Chelsea and Hoffenheim have been good sides for a long period of time." Or something pretty
close to that. Anyhow, Borussia Mönchengladbach have put up a video on their English language
site that details some the club's storied past.
Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach were victim of a last minute equalizer on
Saturday, drawing league leaders TSG Hoffenheim 1-1. 'Gladbach took the lead towards the end of the
first half, and held on for the majority of the second period until a late goal from Wellington
rescued a point for the league leaders.
- Maurice Edu went 90 minutes for Rangers in their 1-0 win over Hamilton Academical.
- Michael Bradley scored from the penalty spot but it proved to be in vain as Borussia
Mönchengladbach went down 2-1 to Hertha Berlin.
- Steve Cherundolo returned to the starting lineup for Hannover 96 who won 1-0 against Bayer
Leverkusen.
Borussia Mönchengladbach's latest loss leaves them four points away from safety. The 2-1

- Rangers kept pace with Celtic in the Scottish Premier League by beating Hibernian 3-2. Maurice
Edu grabbed the winning goal for Rangers, his second in recent weeks for the Glasgow club.
- Clint Dempsey went the full 90 minutes in Fulham's 0-0 draw with relegation-threatened
Middlesbrough.
Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach head to the Allianz Arena on Saturday to take on
Bayern Munich. The game is a big one for both teams - 'Gladbach are trying to jump clear of the
relegation zone, while Bayern are looking to keep pace with the leaders at the top of the table.
It's been a newsworthy week in Munich, with a coaching change and talk of Ribery leaving the club.

for another season in the Bundesliga. Gladbach are three points ahead of Arminia Bielefeld and have
super goal difference of four goals. A tie (or anything better) by 'Gladbach against visiting
Borussia Dortmund will keep Bradley and his teammates safe.

competitions this weekend, while other teams are wrapping up their preseason schedules. Here's a
few notes from the past few days:

'Gladbach get Bundesliga action underway in two weeks when they take on VFB Stuttgart on Jan.
The winter break is over in Germany, and Bundesliga action has started back up again.
Michael Bradley and Borussia Mönchengladbach need a big second half of the season, but
unfortunately that didn't start this weekend. Gladbach went down 2-0 to Stuttgart, with Bradley
playing the full 90 minutes.
